When we got to the Big House, Percy explained where he had been for the last two weeks. I had just basically told them I was knocked out on a fishing boat for the last two weeks and or drifting in the ocean. I wasn't quite sure yet. But he also told us on his little adventure of being on the island he was stranded on that Hephaestus stopped by to see him and let him in on the secret of how to navigate the maze. How nice of him.

"So, he told you that you already knew how to maneuver the maze?" I asked confused.

"Yeah, and now I understand what he means." He said.

"Elaborate." I said. He said we needed Rachel Dare's help. A mortal with the sight to see through the mist. I chewed on my lip. I didn't like the thought of involving a mortal because they weren't like us. They got hurt and there were repercussions, we got hurt, and well that's how we managed through life. Annabeth of course was hard against it.

"There is precedent, however. Thesus had the help of Ariadne. Harriet Tubman, daughter of Hermes, used many mortals on her Underground railroad for just this reason." Chiron reasoned. Annabeth was still not having it though.

"But this is my quest. I need to lead it." She said.

"My dear, it is your quest, but you need help." Chiron said trying to reason with her. I figured he would know by now though that Athena kids were stubborn and were hard to find reasoning with.

"And this is supposed to be help?" She demanded. She glanced at me and Blake for help.

"Hey, don't even bring me into this!" I said as Blake held up his hands in surrender.

"It's wrong and it's cowardly. It's-" Annabeth said rambling on.

"Hard to admit we need a mortals help but it's true." Percy cut in. My eyes went wide, and I glanced at him then her and then back to him again before looking at Chiron. Blake was holding his breath beside me as Annabeth set a glare onto Percy.

"You are the single most annoying person I have ever met!" She snapped before stomping out of the room. I nodded and glanced at Percy.

"Good job dummy." I muttered. He just sighed, not really knowing what was to say in response to it.

"So much for being the bravest friend she's ever had." Percy muttered.

"She's just jealous, she'll be okay." I muttered.

"That's stupid. It's not like that." Percy muttered as I arched an eyebrow up to him.

"It doesn't matter. Annabeth is very territorial about her friends; in case you hadn't noticed. She was worried when you didn't turn up. Now that you're back she probably suspects where you were marooned." Chiron said. I looked at Percy with a raised eyebrow and he wouldn't meet my eyes. I glanced at Chiron and then back to Percy and then back again.

"Anyone want to clue me in?" I asked. They both stayed silent, and I just rolled my eyes. I knew I wasn't going to get an answer, but then again maybe I didn't want any answer if they weren't that forthcoming with one.

"In the morning I will have Argus take Percy and Annabeth into Manhattan. You might want to stop by your mother's. She's...understandably distraught about you both." Chiron said. Percy paled slightly and I sighed. I glanced outside.

"Well, I'm going back to the cabin to unpack. Chiron I'll find you later. I have something that you should hear." I muttered. He looked over at me surveying me before nodding. I walked out of the cabin with Blake behind me.

"What happened when you were out there?" He asked me as I tightened the grip on my bookbag straps.

"Trust me you don't want to know." I muttered. Blake didn't say anything after that and followed me back to my cabin. When we got there, I slung my bag down onto my bed before turning to look at him.
