Captain Hook (d4) POV:
As dawn flooded the forest, Hook climbed down from the tree he had been using as a surveillence post and moved over to Henry to wake him. The boy awoke as soon as Hook said his name. "What's happening?"
"We're moving on son. The sun's up."
Henry stood up and brushed off his clothes. Hook tossed him an apple and they began to move.
"So, remind me, why haven't you killed me yet?" Henry asked, taking a bite of his apple.
"I need to use you as a bargining piece for an alliance." Hook replied, using his hook to pull a branch out of the way for Henry.
"An alliance...with Emma?"
Hook threw Henry a glance but said nothing. Just then, there was a crashing disturbance in the trees ahead of them. Hook swiftly drew his sword and pulled Henry behind him. "Who's there?" He called, struggling to see through the leaves. For a moment, nothing happened, then suddenly a figure came running out of the trees before them. It was Tinkerbell- her hair a mess, her face covered in dirt and several nasty grazes down her arms and legs. She crashed into Hook and he seized both of her arms tightly. "It's alright love, I'm not going to harm you."
Tink shook her head rapidly and struggled to break free, seemingly too distressed to speak, but Hook held onto her tightly.
"No! You don't understand! There's a mutt!" The fairy shrieked, still fighting the pirate's hold.
"What's a mutt?" Hook replied, confused, but his question was answered as a huge beast came crashing through the woods into their vicinity. Tinkerbell screamed and Hook released her; the fairy drew her knife.
"Run Henry!" The pirate yelled, directing the tip of his sword at the beast. The monster had red glowing eyes and resembled a giant bear, with long teeth and claws caked in dried blood. Henry staggered backwards, but did not move. Seeing that Henry had remained, Hook gripped the boy's jacket and threw him from him. Henry stumbled over onto the ground. Hook returned his attention to the beast. "Henry! GO! Find Emma!" Upon hearing this, Henry got up and fled. Tink, who had been watching the exchange from behind a tree, left her position and pelted after Henry....
Red (d7) POV:
Red watched helplessly as Rumple worked desperately on Belle, magically stitching her wounds and healing her damaged body. Beside her, Neal put his arm round her. "She'll be fine Red, Papa will heal her. I know it." Red did not respond, her mind whizzing with fear. She had no idea what had happened to Granny, she didn't know whether Belle would make it nor whether Red would be permitted to live once Rumpelstilskin's attention had turned from his beloved. As though he had read her mind Neal, without taking his eyes off his father working, muttered softly "You know, that as soon as Papa knows Belle will live, he'll kill you?"
Red's breath caught in her chest. "What can I do?" She replied, not looking at him.
"You need to run, now, and keep running." Neal said urgently.
"I can't..." Red began, but Neal cut her off.
"I'll go with you."
At this, Red broke her composure and turned to stare incredulously at him. "What?"
"You heard me." Neal's voice was unwavering. "I don't want to stay here. I need to find Emma and Henry and keep them safe. Neither of us will have a better oppertunity to escape."
