Ariel (d4) POV:
The amber light of the setting sun danced in her long, red hair as Ariel ran, her lungs screaming for rest. But Ariel kept running, not daring to stop for fear of falling prey to an strong tribute, that may have followed her. The blades of grass that ticked her feet soon morphed into hard, sharp rocks that cut into her feet. Whimpering in pain, Ariel finally came to a halt, wheezing and gasping for breath, and she sunk to the ground, resting against a boulder. Then the tears began to slide don her face, drawing clean lines in the dirt and blood on her face. She tried her best to get the gory images out of her head, Cinderella's bleeding, dented skull...her glassy staring eyes...Belle's terrified screams..Regina's choking grasp around her Ariel's own throat, her airways restricted, her blood pounding in her ears. Ariel's eyes flew open, unwillingly to think about it any more. Instead, she stood up and started to walk but before she could take a step, she felt the cold metal of a dagger pressed against her throat. "Don't move..." A voice hissed darkly in her ear. Ariel squeezed her eyes tightly shut. "Please..." She pleaded.
Red (d7) POV:
"Keep up Red!" Granny hissed, clicking her crossbow menecingly as the pair of them walked through the dark forest. "Give it a rest Granny!" Red snarled back, stumbling over a tree root. Granny stopped suddenly and Red slammed into her, sending them both toppling to the ground. Rolling her eyes, Red made to get up again, but Granny seized her arm and yanked her back down. "Ssh! Look!" She whispered. Red frowned, but turned her head in the direction her grandmother had pointed, to see Robin Hood stalk past, his bow loaded. Red's eyes followed his progress as he froze suddenly and raised his weapon, drawing the feather of the arrow back to his ear. Her perfect forehead creasing, Red shifted her position to get a glimpse of his victim and to her horror, saw that his aim was trained on a very familiar back. Belle.
"NO!" She screamed, bursting from her hiding place and throwing herself at the outlaw. The arrow flew from the bow and, forced off its course, swerved into Belle's side. The girl screamed and fell, but avoided a fatal hit. Robin, meanwhile, lay breathless underneath Red's slender body. Once he had recovered from the shock, he used his strength to his advantage and landed a blow to Red's jaw with his gloved fist, knocking her backwards. Blood trickling from her bottom lip, Red struck back with equal vigor, aiming a swift kick at Robin's groin. Having been temporarily, put out of action, Robin fell back onto the ground. Granny, (who had emerged from the shrubbery) reloaded her crossbow and aimed it at the Incapaciatated man on the ground. "Red, listen to me. You go and get Belle, get her out of here and look after her!"
Red nodded and ran to pull the bleeding Belle up from the ground, unwilling to argue with her grandmother when she was in crossbow mode. Throwing one last glance over her shoulder, Red helped the half-concious girl away from the scene.
Regina (d2) POV:
As night fell, Regina sunk to the ground, tears of frustration glistening in her eyes.
"You're not my mom-you're a villain!"
Henry's angry voice still echoed in her brain, despite the fact that he had apologised a long while ago.
"I'm sorry Henry..." Regina whispered, her voice trembling with the tears she was fighting back. She had been repressing the fear that had threatened to engulf her since the moment she had risen into the arena (fear, not for her own safety, but for her son's) but now it gripped her like a vice, suffocated her more with every passing moment that Henry was not with her. Now that she had her magic back, she could've cast a locater spell, but she had nothing of Henry's to track him with. Regina closed her eyes and tried not to imagine what was happening to Henry right now- she didn't even know if he was alive....Just then, the anthem blared out causing Regina to jump. Shielding her eyes from the sudden light, Regina watched the faces of the dead flash past, one by one..
Graham...Smee...Aurora....Cinderella...Jiminy Cricket...Only five dead..Regina wasn't able to allow this information to properly sink in...Henry was alive! Her sigh of relief was so loud that she held her breath in shock afterwards, waiting to hear if any tribute came crashing through the trees, weiling a sword. She waited...the gentle summer breeze was the only voice she heard. Her eyelids prickling with yearning for sleep, Regina selected a spot on the ground and unrolled her sleeping bag she had found in her pack. Then, before closing her eyes, she cast a protection spell around her...
Henry (d7) POV:
Henry's eyes darted across the treeline, searching desperately for Emma or David, or Regina...anyone...He couldn't see straight as his eyes were still swimming with tears after seeing Archie's (and many others) face in the sky. He was just about to climb a tree, when he felt something sharp dig into his shoulder. Whipping around, he found himself face to face with Hook. "Don't worry mate, I'm not going to hurt you." The pirate claimed, his eyes glinting in the moonlight.
Tinkerbell (d8) POV:
"What are you going to do to me?" Ariel's whimper causing the fairy to frown.
"Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you. At least, not yet anyway." Tink replied, tightening the ropes that bound the mermaid. In truth, Tink had not yet made a desicion about Ariel's fate, which rested so absolutely in the green fairy's hands. Had it been weakness that had stopped her from cutting the redhead's throat, as she had origionally intended? What was to stop Ariel (should she break free) from killing Tinkerbell? The fairy turned her back on her prisoner, concealing her emotions from her.
Get a grip Tinkerbell!!!!
Slowly...the fairy pulled her knife from her belt...waiting...listening to Ariel's frantic breath...That swiftly, she turned and made to stab the other girl in the chest....but it was Ariel's pleading look that quickly morphed into terror that stayed her hand. Hissing with frustration, the fairy replaced her knife in her belt.
"Tinkerbell...please...let me go...you don't have to kill me...we could be allies.....please..."
Shut up! Don't listen to her!
Tinkerbell would not allow herself to be swayed that much...she may not be able to kill the girl...yet...but she would not allow her to drop her guard. Pulling her poppy dust from her pocket (an item that she had fought tooth and nail for at the cornuocpia) Tink once again approached Ariel and blew it into her face. Immeadiately, Ariel's eyelids drooped and her head fell forwards onto her chest. With a grim smile, Tink picked up her things...If she just left her here...she knew someone else would finish her off....
Grumpy (d9) POV:
Grumpy's eyes flickered over to Regina's sleeping form. Even while she was sleeping, the queen had a sinister aura about her. Grumpy also knew that she would be one of the most dangerous tributes in the game..it was best to attack her while she was off guard...Grumpy gripped his pickaxe tightly and began to slowly approach Regina's still body. Then, quietly, he raised the sharo point of his pickaxe above the queen's head, moonlight woven into her raven hair...it was now or never....
