'High school might be hard, but I'm sure collage will be harder.' Clay carried the last heavy bags of clothes into his dorm, setting them on the hardwood next to the few others. The black plastic of the bag heated slowly in front of his window.

A heavy box and a few goodbyes later, Dream was set. He lugged the box up the final set of stairs before what looked like a tunnel with his room number at the end of it. 'God d-nm it. Why do I do this to myself.' He contemplated the thought until he reached his door.  The door creaked slightly and opened to reveal where had left his bags, next to the desk and one in the chair. He sat the box down carefully on the white surface and walked over to the bed, sitting down and pulling out his phone.

*ring* .... *ring* ..... *ring* on the last ring she picked up.

"Hello" her voice sounded miserable to say the least.

"Hey cal, what's wrong?"

"Nothing Clay, I uh- I have to go, can't talk right now." she stammered

"Oh ok, Love you"

And the call had ended.  Dream had a girlfriend, and they had been in a great, healthy relationship for months. Until about two weeks ago, when Clay started packing his things up for collage. He knew she wouldn't be doing any more school, she had told him that multiple times, she also just wasn't the type to keep on learning after the 'required amount' as she called it. He had wanted to go to collage to learn coding and work with computers, whether he finished it or not, it was worth a shot in his mind.

Clay didn't know if he would have a roommate, he assumed so though, since this certain school was at high demand for some reason when he applied. He could remember it as clear as day, it was three in the morning, and he was up for some dumb reason, talking to his best friend he met when he was eleven. They weren't talking nessisarly about school, it was the middle of the night in the summer; June to be exact.

'Hey Nick, what school do you want to go to after this summer?' Dream slid in. 'I don't really know, I think I'm just gonna work in the shop with my dad, what about you?' Nick's dad worked in a very popular car shop back in Texas, he actually owned the place. Due to collage, Dream had moved all the way to london, going to his dream school he heard about for the first time in middle school. 'Hm. I'm not sure actually, I really want to go to that school in london, but I'm not sure if I'll make it in or if my parents would let me go all the way across the world just for school.' he finished. 'Oh I'm sure they would, Texas sucks anyway, and they would know that from living here so long.' 'I guess you're right, Nick.' They sat in a comfortable silence for about two minutes before Nick piped up and startled Dream. 'Do it.' he said. 'Do what Nick?' 'Do it, enroll right now. I'll pay you fifty bucks if you make it in.' Nick went straight into the offer. 'You're serious?' Dream was shocked, Nick wasn't the type to bet money. 'Positive, get a dorm to yourself and ill make it a hundred.' 'Bet' Clay sealed the deal, and logged onto his computer. Two weeks later he got the email saying congrats, and now he was here. Of course there were events in between, but not ones that were major.

Soon enough a week has passed and Dream's was all set up, he didn't have a roomate yet, but he got told he would have one. Tomorrow was his first day in class, and he was setting out his clothes, he wasn't the person to wear super fancy clothing to school but tomorrow he was just going to wear a button up with some jeans; nothing too special. Eventually Clay sat back down on his bed after he went out to get dinner, and pulled his phone out again to look at his notifications, he had multiple dm's on Instagram and Twitter from fans and some likes on merch drop posts' but no texts from Cal. He plugged in his earbuds and opened YouTube Music, and selected a playlist he used to listen to with Nick. He had already turned his lights off and soon enough he had fallen into the place of rest he visited every night.

*RING* *RING* *RING* the noise was blaring in his ears. 'Ugh' He stretched and rubbed his eyes before turning off the alarm, making sure to not snooze it. He got up from his bed, stretching his back again, and he turned his light back on and made his way to the bathroom.

After he had gotten ready, he grabbed his car keys and his ear buds, and walked out the door. He was on the way to go to the library to pick up his school books, so he could make his way to class. Of course being Dream's luck, he ran into a guy who was walking up the stairs as he was coming down. 'Oh my god I'm so sorry' Clay rushes to get up, so he could help the guy up. 'no no its totally fine!' He said with a smile. Dream observed him quickly seeing he had a rainbow pin twords the top of his shirt; over his heart almost. Dream knew it was a pride pin, he didn't nessisarly hate the community just didn't have any friends in it.

They shook each other's hands and moved on with their days, and eventually Clay got his books and headed to class.
