Hermione was stun. She couldn't believe Fenrir was asking her this question. Sure she cared for Remus but she didn't feel anything like that towards him. He was her Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher after all! How could she love someone who was a former professor? Not to mention he is married to Tonks and had a child. She shook her head.
"Fenrir, I care for him as a friend. I do not have feelings for him in that way." Hermione assured him, her hand lightly brushing against his arm, "He used to be my professor. Also he's married."
"Was married." Fenrir spoke. Hermione's eyes widened.
"What do you mean 'was married'?" she asked, unable to believe Remus and Tonks had divorce. All the times she would see Tonks and Remus together, it looked like they were the happiest couple in the world. Fenrir shook his head.
"Tonks passed away a few years ago. He never told me but I knew something was off when I started to notice he wasn't wearing his ring for a while." Fenrir mentioned. Hermione couldn't believe it. Remus never once told them Tonks had passed away. She felt so ashamed about not coming to her funeral and angry that Remus had denied her and probably others to mourn her death.
"I had no idea." Hermione mumbled.
"So you don't feel anything for him? In that type of manner I mean?" Fenrir asked her. She glared at him.
"Of course not! Remus is just a friend." Hermione shot at him. Fenrir chuckled.
"Good! You then won't have any problem with telling him that when he shows up." Fenrir told her as he laid against her. She shook her head.
"What are you talking about? Remus does not feel anything for me. He views me as much as a friend as I do him." Hermione stated to him. Fenrir darted his eyes and smirked.
"Sure... keep telling yourself that." Fenrir said before burying his head into her side. Hermione's head shot up as she leaned against her pillow, trying to remind herself that Remus saw her just as a friend as she did... even though there was a quiet whisper in the back of her head that begged to differ.
Remus leaned against the oak tree, his head in his hands as he tried to shake off the voice of Moony echoing through his head. He could feel an impulse growing inside him that demanded him to go back to the camp. But he couldn't. Not until this yearning, which beats within his chest, vanished or at least quiet down. His breathing was hitched as he could feel his heart pounding into his ear and his blood boiled underneath his flesh. He should be feeling this way, he shouldn't be feeling this way about his friend.
But here it was, growing beneath his skin. He could feel the beast howling inside, begging for he, screaming her name within his ear...
Hermione...
Hermione...
Hermione...
He needed it to stop. Even for a minute or so. But it keep getting louder... and louder... and louder. He slapped the back of his head a couple of times, mumbling about getting over her but he feared this time it was stuck. He leaned his head back as his mind flashed back when he first laid his eyes on Hermione how Moony had wanted to waltz up to her and ask her to be his, how when he turned in front of him Moony got upset that Hermione was surrounded by Harry, Ron and even Snape, he remembered how he had to swallow Moony down his throw as he forced himself to leave without saying 'goodbye' to Hermione. Now that he hadn't drank his potion, he could feel Moony started to grow stronger within his body and he knew Moony had one thing on his mind.
Get Hermione...
