Reunion

Arthurs POV

I unsheathed my blade out of Adlir's neck causing it to spit out blood, he made a horrible gurgling noise as he died. My blade disintegrated causing the blood that was on it to drop to the floor. I turned to see everybody's face in horror.

They were all staring at me. The lances with fear. The others with complex faces. "Arthur?" My mother was the first to speak up, "yeah, It's me mom." I saw her face tear up as she ran at me, she forced me into a tight embrace.

"Why? Why did you leave for so long?" She cried into my chest, Ellie quickly followed wrapping herself around my legs and waist. "Brother" was all she said while also crying. "I'm sorry i left for so long"  i replied while i scanned the room for Tess. I wanted to see her reaction. Her face, but i couldn't. She was gone.

I was about to sprint out and look for her until i was stopped by one of the lances, "How did you move like that? I haven't seen anything like it." Mica said while grabbing my hand in a casual yet strangely seductive manner.

"I picked up a few things in my absence" i said in a stern tone showing her how little i care for this trivial conversation.  "You must be beyond white core now" Aya said slowly making her way towards me.

"The thing is, i don't have a mana core." I explained 'Regis go look for her', "WHAT!" Everybody shouted in unison. 'Fine.' Regis jumped out of my body and ran towards the destroyed doors making everybody's face contort with emotion further.

"Wait wait wait." Gramps said while rushing to my side. "What do you mean you don't have a mana core? What the fuck just jumped out of your body? And where the hell is Slyvie?!" I took an involuntary step back as i was bombarded with questions.

I pulled out Slyvie's egg from my storage rune, "this is all that remains of Slyvie now. In that last fight with Nico she... sacrificed herself to save me. I became half dragon which is why i look different". I explained remembering her final moments.

"You only answered one of my questions" he interrogated me further, "listen, i'll explain soon but first." I said while looking to the door, Gramps seemed to understand what i meant. "Yeah ok" he replied in a defeated tone. "But you better tell us all later. Or else." He finished while forcing me out the door.

I gave him a nod and ran to try find her. 'Regis have you found her?' I asked eagerly awaiting an answer. 'Yeah, she's at some pond not too far from hq' relief overcame when i heard this however that soon changed to nervousness as i have to explain to her.

Tessia's POV

Arthur? Grey was Arthur? Why? Why didn't he tell me? Why did he lie to me? All these questions started swimming around my head yet i had no way of knowing the answers. Tears started rolling down my face as i sat next to the pond. I felt betrayed. 

I had known him for years yet he didn't even tell me who he was, did his promise mean nothing? All these painful thoughts were attacking my sanity, i stared out over the empty pond, my tears joining its stream.

"Tess?" I heard a nervous voice from behind me, i turned to face it only to wish i hadn't. Arthur was facing me with his golden eyes piercing me, i could feel his strength and his omnipotent power. 

I started to waver. Is this the same person i knew? He looks so different. His presence is different. He is diff- "I'm sorry!" My thoughts were cut off, the person i once said held godlike powers was now hugging me tightly.

"I'm sorry tess, I'm sorry. I should have told you but i couldn't . I just... I felt so guilty." The person who had just killed two deities was now crying into my shoulder. His tears started to wash away all my stupid thoughts, as he hugged me i could tell. He is the same person.

"So from now on no more lies" Arthur declared putting distance between us. "I will tell you everything." With a tear still rolling down his cheeck he started to speak, "The reason for my knowledge, swordsmanship and military tactics." 

I was left stunned as his look changed from one of sadness to a cold distant look, "W-what do you mean everything?" I finally spoke my first words to him, they were a lot more fragile that i had hoped.

"Tessia Eralith" He spoke in a cold tone that sent shivers down my spine, "there is a lot you don't know about me."
