"why are you here manny?" i ask him. "why are you ignoring me?" manny asks back. i am furious. how DARE he blame me for our problems!! "why were YOU being distant with ME?! i yell. manny looks down and doesn't answer. i roll my eyes and start to walk away. "wait!" manny yells. he starts to run after me and i stop walking.
"i love you, please don't leave me!"
i look him with my eyes filled with tears.
"give me one good reason why i shouldn't."
"i love you so much and i'm so sorry i was being distant. i thought that you would be better off without me. you know i'm a bad boy. i thought that it would be the right thing to do but i was wrong, so wrong! please forgive me!"
by this time we were both openly crying.
"of course i forgive you! just please never do that again!" i sob
"of course not, never!"
i run into manny's arms and we stay like that for awhile. me leaning my head on his shoulder and manny's head gently resting on mine. i look up at him and give him a short kiss.
"i love you." we both say.
