He was running out of ideas about what to do with Lilith and her need to go back to hell, or how she said it, home.

He knew what he had to do but it wasn’t a good idea. He had enough in his life and didn’t need all that it would come with calling him, but it might be the only option they got.
By Friday he knew it was the only option they had left, so he did it. The phone rang a few times before he heard his voice.

“Hello?”

“Hi, Oliver. This is Hamish Duke, I need a favour”

Their relationship had always been one of trust and few words so it wasn’t necessary for him to explain anything over the phone. He would be there the next day.
__________

He had gone to the airport to pick him up. He could had given him the address, but he knew that if he told him to go to Belgrave Oliver would have thought he was joking.

It was almost night but he wanted to show him the temple before going to dinner so Oliver would know what he was up against. And it wouldn't hurt that the first of them he meets was Vera, an adult, and not his fellow knights who could come across as childish sometimes.

What he wasn't expecting was for him to bring company, all of their encounters had been without more people and he hated going through the 'I'm a werewolf, please believe it' talk. So when the petite blonde came out of the plane he was a little surprised.

"Oliver, I thought you were coming alone", his voice was cold and worried, his manners on the other hand made him introduce himself.

"Hi, I'm Hamish Duke. I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting anyone else".

"That's okay, I assumed Oliver told you I was coming too but I see he didn't. I'm Felicity Smoak, Oliver's fiancé." Okay, that was a surprise, he couldn't imagine Oliver getting married, not before the island, and not now. Though he couldn't deny how good she seemed for him, how happy he was just by being beside her.

"I didn't know he was engaged, congratulations", he grabbed her bags despite her insistence that she could do it herself and took them to the car, with Oliver and Felicity behind him.

Once they were in the car he felt more comfortable talking, away from prying ears.
"So, does Felicity knows?", he was trying to be subtle, most of the few people that knew weren't open to the concept, and he didn't want to freak her out, he wasn't even sure if she knew about the hood.

"That you're a werewolf and that you're on a magic secret club, yeah", she was speaking really fast but it wasn't because of nerves or fear, this seemed to just be herself, and maybe he could hear a little excitement in it too.

"Oh, okay. I wasn't expecting you to take it so well", Oliver had, but that doesn't mean everyone he knew would.

"Oh well, after time travel and aliens the rest is not that big of a deal", now Hamish was excited, the notion of time travel alone was enough for him to spiral in his thought a little.

"Is he okay, I think I broke him"

After a few moments, he was back. "No, it’s okay, it's just that knowing that time travel is real and not just theoretical it's... Wow"

“I forgot to mention, he's one of you”

“What do you mean?”

“You know, all brainy and sciency”, it had an affectionate tone, so different than the one when they were young, and it was almost funny how much it was that this woman had changed him.

“Just because I'm pursuing my doctorate in epistemology doesn’t mean I'm ‘sciency’ Oliver. Besides, everybody would be amazed by time travel being real”, they were almost in the university parking lot by them.
