"You caught my interest. I want you to be my wife."

I found myself stunned after hearing his sudden proposal. I couldn't believe that I received a proposal from a guy who killed me in my past timeline.

"You want me to be your wife?"

I thought I misheard him that's why I asked him to clarify the words he said just now.

He nodded as a response.

"You must be joking..." My mouth went agape. Is he for real?

"What would I gain from joking to you like that? Everything that I said is true and I am serious." Then, he stared at me.

If I look at him closely, his ocean blue beautiful eyes were implying that he is not joking nor making fun of me. From just looking at his eyes, I can tell that he's serious about this proposal.

But why me? It was our first meeting at all excluding the past and I know nothing about him so why did he proposed?

I want to assume that he fell in love at first sight right after meeting me but it was too impossible! Those kind of things only exist in fictional stories! Also, he's the one who killed me in my past life so it doesn't make sense if he suddenly harbor some feelings towards me.

I began to think about the possible reasons why he propose to me. I even forgot that he is still here while waiting for my reply but I couldn't care less because of the numerous thoughts that's bothering in my head.

Maybe, he was just pretending he mean it but in truth is, he was just fooling around and wants to take advantage of my genuine kindness.

Yeah. That's right.

Whatever his reason is, I must reject him properly and carefully.

"Hearing your proposal made me so happy but I don't think that I am befitting to play the role as your wife..."

"Why?"

Is he really asking me why?

"...Why you say, that's because this is the first time we've met and I barely know you at all."

Also, I don't love you. I want to tell him those words straight to his face but something inside me is stopping from telling him that.

I wonder why I hesitate...

But it looks like he doesn't want to consider my polite refusal since he started to spits out some persuasive words.

"You can get to know me better while we're engaged and also my intuition says that you are capable to play the role as my wife."

Why is he so worked up and so persistent over this kind of matter? Is he really that desperate to use me as his pawn?

It turns out things doesn't want to end the way I want, huh? If my polite refusal doesn't work against him, then I don't have any choice but to be direct to the point.

"I apologize for being rude but, I don't have any lingering feelings towards you and it's kinda weird to marry someone I just meet. I don't see any valid reason why you wanted to marry me unless you desire me to be one of your pawns though I don't know if I have some use. And take this as my warning to you, if you have some ill intentions why you wanted me as your bride, I wouldn't hesitate to cut you down. Also, a marriage without love is something that I couldn't bear at all."

I don't mind if I am being rude to him but these are my true feelings. I can't bear myself to lie all over his face. I don't have any choice but to resort to this kind of method.
