Mark was fuming when he came home.

The maids were all shocked to see him after not visiting for almost two weeks and for the fact that it's a weekday.

Weekends are supposed to be reserved for family, where Eula and Mark are requested to come home and also spend time together.

Though the two were just either in their own personal spaces or fulfilling their lustful intimacy, the parents are still overwhelmed to see them getting along.

Present time, when Mark approached Jeno's room that was just parallel to his. He didn't bother to knock and just barged in, seeing the younger man sprawled on the floor with a bunch of scattered papers in front of him.

Jeno flinched when his door was suddenly banged open, pushing his glasses back properly.

"Hyung?" surprise evident in his tone, he blinked multiple times just to be clear that he's not daydreaming. "You're home."

"What's with you and Alessandra?" Mark frankly asked, catching the younger off-guard and carefully putting down the paper in his grip.

"Nothing; we're just close friends," he truthfully answered.

"Close enough to be hugging and everything?"

"Hyung, she's crying and literally shaking! What do you want me to do, stare at her?"

"You're being too touchy!"

"And you're being unreasonable! You're unbelievable, really." Jeno sighed. "Please, can you stop whatever you do with girls? Can't you see you're hurting her?"

"And it concerns you because?" Mark pushed further, arms crossing while he leaned on the open doorway.

"What do you mean, hyung?" Jeno exasperatedly sighed. "Eula is nice to all of us, and she doesn't deserve to get hurt just because of your sexual relationships! Let's be honest here, hyung, do you even want Eula to be a part of your life? Because if you don't.." he abruptly stopped, gulping the following words back on his throat.

Yet Mark raised a brow, a smirk evident on his lips. "Because if I won't?"

"Then." Jeno's eyes quivered and looked away. "Don't hurt her further. Let her go."

The man just snickered and turned back, walking away without bothering to close the younger man's door.

Jeno dropped his entire body on the floor, his heartbeat erratic, and he breathed to calm him down.

His eyes were big and darted to the plain white ceiling, while the conversation went over and over his head.

If Jeno was being honest, he didn't want to pay respect to the older man anymore. He believed that respect was earned, not asked for.

Jeno wondered if he still felt an ounce of good from the older man when he didn't care about the girl who was helplessly bound to him.

If it was really that simple for him to talk to both parents to call off the connection.

If it were really simple for him to break their string, he would definitely do it.
