I looked around and heard footsteps heading towards me and it wasn't just of one person. I quickly murmured a spell and freed myself from the ropes.
I landed on my foot perfectly and casted an invisibility spell on myself. I don't why but my wolf had the urge to take over my body right now. I tried controlling her but it was like she was drawn to something.
And that was my queue to get out of here as fast as I can. I heard some men say "someone is there ! Fast capture that person ".
I teleported myself back to my house and that's when I realised "Fuck! I forgot to hide my scent ". Since when did become so fucking careless?! I added barriers in front of my house. You know as they say better safe than sorry.
But there was something that was still bothering me .In fact there were 2 things that I still wasn't able to figure out. The mysterious person that fired a bow aiming at my head and my wolf telling me to stay in that forest. I was still starving as I got interrupted 2 times.. fuck my life. So I decided to go hunting again at midnight this time and get some rest right now.
"Hopefully this time I won't get interrupted.."

"Beta, someone was trying to trespass our land"

"No need, I'll myself go and check" I stood up from my chair and closed my laptop. After dismissing the guards, I started heading towards the forest through the secret passage that is behind my office. This passage helps me reach the location before anyone could reach. The leader of our pack , alpha Hades shows no mercy when someone tries to trespass our land. He doesn't even bother to hear those people out. He just kills them. As the beta, I do have a lot of powers but not more than the Conri. I have to obey his order whether I like it not. Well, that's the line I only signed up for so no backing out now...
As I reached the location, I saw few guards with confusion all over their faces. I looked to my left and saw the rope that we attached to the maple tree to set up a trap.. that rope was burnt into ashes.
"No one will report this to the alpha until I find out who the fuck it was". All the soldiers nodded and left the location.
I bent down to observe the footsteps that were placed on the moist mud. By looking at the rope it was clear that the person was a witch and she used a spell to get out of the rope.
But the scent... the scent that the person had was of a wolf. And for some reason, my wolf wanted to follow the scent that led deep inside the forest. My body started to shift in its wolf form it was like he was desperate to come out right now. This usually happens with people when they find their...
No...It can't be. For years I have been trying to find my mate. After few years I started to think that either I'm cursed by the moon goddess or my mate is dead.
Now enough about that, what am I gonna tell the alpha. There's a possibility that "my mate" is a hybrid.
If the alpha gets to know that a hybrid tried to trespass our land, he will make all the guards go crazy to find her. So I decided to follow the scent myself but not right now. If I disappear right now then everyone will raise questions.
At midnight I'll leave and hopefully I'll find her...
_______ It was finally midnight and everyone were going back to their homes. I waited for everyone to be asleep.
After checking that my coast was clear. I ran to the forest and shifted in my wolf form so that I could follow the scent more clearly. Within a minute, I was on my 4s. I could hear some of the wolves howling from the nearby village.
The scent was starting to fade away. It was like she hid her scent with a spell once she knew someone was gonna follow her.
My mind said to go back and search tomorrow but my heart said keep running straight. That's what I did, I kept running forward.
"Curiosity killed the cat". I never thought that this was true until now...
My vision started to get blurry and suddenly someone threw a blade on my right shoulder and I fainted. I wasn't able to see who it was or where it came from. I started regretting my decision about listening to my heart instead of my mind.
