What the fuck just happened? I wiped the dust from my body and removed the bow that landed on my shoulder. Blood was dripping all over my arm so I quickly grabbed few leaves to wipe off the blood.
A huge light brown coloured wolf appeared in front of me and I recognised who it was without taking another glance.
I went behind a bush and started to shift, there were some clothes nearby so I quickly started putting them on. Till then Dario has also shifted in his human form.
"What the fuck are you doing here" I yelled.
"I was patrolling! What the fuck are YOU doing here?"
"Uh, I wasn't able to sleep so I decided to go for a walk" I really need to improve my lying skills.
"Yeah sure we all know you can fall asleep anytime and anywhere, now tell me the real reason" Dario glared at my stance to see if I'm hiding something or not.
"Long story short, a hybrid tried to trespass our land and there is like 40 per cent chance that the hybrid is my mate, oh and alpha doesn't know about any of this" Dario stood in front of me looking at me with a shocked expression, still trying to process what I just said.
"So let me get this straight, you went out alone at night searching for a fucking hybrid?! You do realise you could have gotten yourself killed!"
"Pretty much" now that he put it in this way I realised what the fuck was I doing? What if she wasn't my mate.. She would have killed me in a second"
" Are you sure she was your mate?" I remained silent because even I wasn't sure about that. He took my silence as my response and started bursting out with laughter. I rolled my eyes and started walking towards the left. "Ok fine I'll stop, where the fuck are you going". I'll stop rubbish. That bastard was still laughing like a maniac. " Either help me or shut the fuck up". I said facing my back towards him and continued walking. He was right behind me leaving a small trail of leaves in case we get lost.
We were walking for almost half an hour now and still, there was no clue of her.
"I think we should go back," I said facing him, he nodded and was about to say something then suddenly his eyes widened. It almost looked like he saw a ghost or something. " Are you ok?" he remained silent.
I turned around and saw balls of bright light heading towards us. I quickly ducked down and Kicked Dario's knee commanding him to bend down. He was still frozen from the sight he just saw.
I saw someone behind the bushes with glowing blue eyes and was murmuring a spell almost looking like she was gonna attack us. Holy shit!! The scent that we were following stopped right here... My eyes wandered again near the bush but no one was there-
