Tanager x Auk (Lust, love)

Auk laid down in her cell, trying not to cry.

It was two years ago, when she had met Deathbringer. She had fallen in love with him, though she knew it was immature. Auk had been captured on the battlefield just recently and she had hoped that her Nightwing love would come for her. 

But alas, dreamers are always disappointed. Deathbringer never showed up. He had shown up once, fucked her when she was emotionally vulnerable, and then never came back.

And she hated him.

Hated, hated, hated. She couldn't believe she had her first time with such an... an... AN ASSHOLE!

Auk hit her fist on the rock, tears spilling.

"Um, are you okay?"

Auk looked up, surprised to find a Skywing guard standing in front of the bars.

He looked in on her. "Are you okay? You seem sad."

Auk wiped a tear from her eye. "Why do you care?"

"Because you're crying. And I want to make sure you're alright." He said. "Um, do you want some food or something? I can get you some."

Auk shook her crystal blue head. "No. Just let me be..."

He shrugged. "If that's what you want." And then he left.

But then he came back the next day, this time with a bag of meat.

Auk flinched back as he pushed it toward her. "W-what is that?"

"Deer loins." He said. "Thought you might like some."

Auk took one out. She was hungry... She looked up at him but found no malice in his eyes, in fact... they looked kind. "Thank you..." She mumbled.

He stopped at the entrance, studying her but not in an unkind fashion. "You're Auk, right?"

Auk choked on her deer, spitting out the meat. "H-how do you know that?"

"It was on the prisoner manifest. But that is your name, right?" He asked.

Auk choked. "Um, yeah. W-what's yours?" She widened her eyes. "Am I allowed to ask that? I-I'm sorry if I'm not-"

"It's fine!" He interrupted. "My name is Tanager. Is there anything else you might need?"

She shook her head. "No... um, thank you."

Tanager nodded and somewhat nervously ran away.

But he was back the next day... and then the next... and the next. Until one day...

Auk awoke to the sound of keys jingling inside her cell. She opened her eyes to see Tanager flinging open her cell door.

"Huh? What's going on?" Auk asked.

"Come on!" Tanager nearly shouted, although he never shouted, so this was weird.

Auk stood up as he took off his chains. "Tanager, what's happening!?"

"I don't know! They just killed all the Icewings!" He said, worry spilling into his voice.

Auk followed him out the door. They both froze as they heard talonsteps heading their way. "Tanager, get back!" She shouted.

Cold breath erupted from her mouth as she shot it toward the Skywing guards.

"Auk, don't hurt them!" Tanager said, he grabbed her arm and she reared her head back at him.

She bit down on her lips, holding it in. "Fine." She growled and then began running down the hall with Tanager right behind.
