Sometimes in Leoni's dreams, there are monsters.

The triforce of wisdom usually twists and turns in her sleep. Every time, she dreams of the same: a corpse, rising from the ashes. She is always in a cave, and there is always a skeletal green hand reaching out to her face. That is where the dream always ends.

Other nights, Leoni dreams of when her knight Dimitri defeated Calamity Volcra alongside her, and how Dimitri and Leoni brought peace to Hyrule. Those are better times.

And on occasion, in Leoni's dreams, there will be nothing but a voice, who will recite the prophecy:

The triforce, an artifact left behind by the three goddesses who created the world - Nayru, Farore and Din, known as the Golden Goddesses - is split into three parts.

The goddess Hylia is reborn as a mortal, with the power to wield light. This is the triforce of wisdom, who takes after the goddess of wisdom, Nayru.

The spirit of the hero, also mortal, wields the sword that seals the darkness. This is the triforce of courage, who takes after the goddess of courage, Farore.

And finally, the darkness itself will try to take over Hyrule again and again. This darkness is the triforce of power, who takes after the goddess of power, Din.

The darkness will fail as long as the princess and the knight are there to defend it. Every reincarnation has the same battle, and the same ending - courage and wisdom are triumphant, whilst power falls once more.

If Leoni has that dream, she will wake up and wonder when this cycle will end.

Tonight, though, Leoni's rest is dreamless, and she sleeps soundly...for now.
