Leoni looked up at the spring of power, where a statue of the goddess Hylia resided. She stood in the water that swished around her ankles, taking notes. A hundred years ago, Leoni had been here in this exact spot, praying for a power that she thought would never come. It still felt unreal to her that she and Dimitri had defeated Calamity Ganon together, that Hyrule was safe once more. Whilst Leoni found herself doubting the reality of the present sometimes, she knew in her heart that she cherished the peace that had settled over the land.

Dimitri stood beside the spring and Leoni smiled at her knight. Dimitri smiled back.
"Come into the spring," she called.
Dimitri set to do as Leoni wanted, but then halted. "Are you sure it's fine for me to go in there?" he asked.

Leoni smiled wider. "I'm sure." She put a hand on her hip, and the princess's smile fell as she turned her gaze to the statue. Leoni put her notebook back in her bag, and tapped her pen to her chin, thinking.

Leoni and Dimitri were here trying to find the lost Zonai civilization that had disappeared several millennia ago. So far, they hadn't had many clues - but Leoni hoped to find something here, at the spring of power. After all, this was where the triforce of power, Volcra, had once prayed. She was sure Volcra and the Zonai were connected, somehow.

Suppressing a shudder at the thought of her and Dimitri's enemy, Leoni looked again - around the statue, in the waters. She searched the rocks. When she couldn't find anything, Leoni's spirits fell - until she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, Leoni smiled at Dimitri.

"Thank you."
"It'll be okay," Dimitri spoke. "We'll find something. I'm sure of it."

Leoni's heart pounded as she stared at Dimitri. His dark red hair was tied up in a simple ponytail, exposing his face and dark brown eyes. Before Leoni could stop herself, she was standing on her tiptoes and kissing Dimitri's cheek. Upon seeing Dimitri blush, the princess smiled before lowering herself back down onto her feet.

"You're right, Dimitri. Let's go back home. We've done enough today."

As Leoni and Dimitri started towards Hyrule Castle, the sky began to get darker. Unbidden, thoughts of Volcra swam to her mind again, but she pushed the image of the monster back. Don't think about it.

When Leoni had calmed her heart rate, she immediately intertwined her hand with Dimitri's.
