Saturday 12:57 AM

As Dylan woke up he felt a fluffy feeling, he slowly opened his eyes and saw his dog Cookie. "Hey boy, good morning" He said sleepily. Dylan got up from his bed and started to walk towards the door, as he reached for the door, the door suddenly opened, and behind it was his mom. "Hey Dylan sweetie" she said with a soft smile. "Hey mom" Dylan said drowsily. His mom proceeded to walk into his room and open the curtains. "You should really let more light in here sweetie". IN his mind he thought "They're curtains... What do you mean" and he just stared as his mom. The petite woman walked out of his room and said "You should wash up then come down and eat breakfast sweetie!!" while going down the stairs.

Dylan sighed then smiled, "Ok mom". Dylan walked towards the bathroom and washed his face. He then went downstairs where he found his mother leaning on the kitchen counter while using her phone. She spotted Dylan and her face lit up again. "Sweetie! Sweetie! I went and made pancakes for you! I even got you some ice cream!" She said with a smile. Dylan looked quite happy, but was suspicious as to why his mom would go out of her way to do this, but still, he was happy. "Thanks mom!" he said with a smile. Dylan sat down and ate breakfast, the pancakes looked as delicious as they tasted, the maple syrup slowly flowed down the sides of the pancakes, while the strawberries on top looked as fresh as the morning dew. The pancakes were so fluffy that they jiggled when Dylan poked it with a fork, and as he ate it, it was so soft and easy to chew. While the vanilla ice cream shone from the light on his table, the ice cream was covered in a rich strawberry syrup as it coated the ice cream. "Yum, this might be the best breakfast you've made me mom" he said with his mouth half full. "Does that mean my cooking isn't good unless it's pancakes and ice cream?" She said with one of her eyebrows raised. Dylan looked a bit panicked, he'd like to avoid upsetting his mom. "NO! That's not what I meant, I mean uh". "Calm down sweetie" She said while letting out a chuckle. "I'm just teasing you sweetie" she said. "Ah" Dylan replied.

"Well now that you're done eating" Dylan's mom said while sitting across him. "Sweetie, you're going to move schools." "Ok" he said while staring at her with a blank look. She looked surprised. "I thought you'd have a more... Surprised reaction?" She said confused. "Well you made me pancakes and ice cream, I don't see why I should be surprised about moving schools. Plus dad already told me" he said. "Oh, well then. You're moving to Saint Lauren Middle School and they're starting in a week." Dylan thought to himself "If the new school starts in a week why do you only tell me now?? Well I guess I'll just get on with it."

Dylan took a shower and changed his clothes, then he went out of the house and took the bus to his friends house.

"Hey K!!" K is a nickname that Dylan calls his friend. "Hey Dylman" K said from the entrance of his house. Dylan walked over and gave K a hug. "How have you been Dylman?" K said excited to see his friend. "I'm pretty good, mom just broke some news to me though." Dylan said ending with a sad tone. K immediately sensed that his friend felt down, "Hey man, you can tell me anything. What happened? Did your house burn down in a duck invasion?" He said attempting to lighten up the mood. "It's nothing serious actually, my mom just said I'm moving schools and it starts next week." Dylan responded. "Oh wow Dylman, does it start next week next week or this Monday?" K said. "This Monday sadly" Dylan looked at his friend with a sad look. "Well we can still meet over the weekends and after our schools right?" K responded. "Sure" Dylan said as K guided Dylan into his house.
