Dad died.. my fault. If only I had obeyed his orders he would still be here beside me. Wandering here with no reason, no reason why I still chose to live. Why did he need to switch places with me? It was I who was destined to die, not him. His death just left for me was just grief and guilt. It was not fair-

"Yuma? What are you doing here?" A voice that cut off his thoughts said behind him, the white-haired neighbor looked back. The owner of the voice was director Rindo, walking towards him then settling beside him looking at the stars in the sky. "Thinking about something?" The older man asked.

"Just pondering the question if I should continue to... to live.." Yuma hesitated to say the last word. It was hard to tell what the neighbor felt, he was good at hiding his emotions with the unnatural cheery behavior he always liked to display. "My dad never got mad at me for breaking the rules, the problems were mine to deal with anyway. I couldn't do anything without his guidance, I wanted to stay beside him all the time. I felt very comfortable around him. He was my... everything." The young neighbor confessed. He felt a sting in his chest as he said that, it hurt a lot knowing his father sacrificed his life to save his son, but still why would he do that when he knew it would hurt him?

"Grief truly is something huh? Your old man was a fearless, gallant man. A person of inspiration, a man full of words. I am indebted to him, I very much appreciate his help, in taking care of me especially when I was new to border. Has he ever done any wrong decisions?" The older man asked.

"I believe he hasn't, I may be wrong. He must have done some wrong decisions when I wasn't born yet." Yuma replied

"Then what makes you think that he made the wrong decision in saving you?"

.......

"Well, I feel sleepy now Yuma, sorry I can't accompany you any further. Take a nice rest, there are still a lot of things to enjoy in life." The director said, patting Yuma's head and walking back into the building.

Yuma never thought of it that way. He will never forget the words director Rindo said that night.

 Monday [10:54 am]

"6 - 4"

"Kuga win"

"Aww man, why can I never beat Yuma-senpai in a 10 round match. I thought I would have a chance to win since you have a headache." Midorikawa pouted. Yuma looked at him with a smirk.

"No matter what tactic you make, you will never beat me." the short neighbor said proudly with his usual duck face.

"That's not fair! you have 5 seconds to start running!" Midorikawa threatened. Yuma didn't think playing tag in the base was a good idea but he had no choice, so then he ran. "What the- why are you so fast?! wait for me!"

"You threatened me to run! catch me if you can!" Yuma yelled back to his friend.

Midorikawa and Yuma ran around the corridors non-stop, the white-haired neighbor went into a room and hid from him. he was giggling a bit when he heard a shout.

"I bet 100 yen before the clock struck 11, I will find you!" the brunette declared and started to search. He went from room to room but no signs of Yuma in any of them. the clock finally struck 11 but Midorikawa never spotted Yuma.

How unfortunate, another money wasted.

Midorikawa frowned at his loss, Yuma appeared behind him happily then asks for his 100 yen.

"Yuma-senpai, you are merciless. This is not fair." the brown-haired boy whined as he gave 100 yen to him.

Unbeknownst to them, a person walked up behind them.
