Over the next month Sirius Black had a constant pain in the pit of his stomach.Guilt.
He wished to find a way to mend his relationship with his sister. But knew that anything he did would never be good enough for his sister.
No matter how hard he tried to approach Talitha, her bodyguards of Slytherins would shun him away. He'd try to sneak glances at her, but Talitha would never look at him.
He felt even worse when he saw his sister rule the school.
With her tormenting ways and the power she possessed to do what pleased.
A conflict always in his head as she was so cruel, but then he made her that way. She'd never been shown kindness so what else could she do.
The autumn air was chilly and the brown leaves crunched as November approached.
Talitha Black didn't like the cold, she was already cold enough. And now in the dungeons it was freezing. Everyone had blankets upon blankets on their beds, to keep them warm.
Nothing could ever warm Talitha up, no matter how hard she tried.
To make matters worse, Talitha had this constant ache at the bottom of her stomach.
Sadness.
No matter how much she did the things she enjoyed, she still felt that sadness.
Similar to Sirius and Talitha, Regulus Black also had a constant pain within his stomach.
Fear.
He knew exactly what he was fearful of and knew nothing could stop this fear. The dark Lord was coming for him.
In a letter from his parents they wrote to tell him that over Christmas break a special guest would be arriving to discuss his future. He knew what that was. He would be getting the dark mark.
He wanted nothing more then to scream. He needed to tell someone but was too scared to say the words out loud.

Talitha knew it was her brothers birthday. It was all anyone spoke about.
There would be a party in the Gryffindor common room that evening.
Sirius Black turns 18.
She hated that he was older than her. He didn't show an ounce of maturity.
She decided to avoid classes that day not wanting to run into Sirius Black and his gang of misfits.
Especially James Potter. Who appeared to be the leader of the misfits as well as being head boy.
Being sat next to him in class disgusted her. She hated James Potter. Always so happy, she wanted to get rid of that smile. And more than anything she hated how he'd never pay attention to her. Like seriously who ignores the Talitha Black?!
Regulus didn't turn up to his brothers party, he hadn't even realised that he had passed out by the black lake until he woke up three days later.
Sirius had found Regulus clutching a letter passed out by the lake.
Sirius had been eighteen for three days and hadn't heard a single thing from his brother. He was worried and when he saw him passed out by the lake he knew something had happened. He snatched the letter from his brothers pale hands and read the contents of it.
'Oh fuck.' Sirius whispered out loud. He knew just like Regulus what was to happen.
Sirius woke his brother up carefully. Regulus had red eyes and his black curls were knotted. Regulus stared at his brother then yanked him in for a hug. Sirius pulled him in, allowing his brother take comfort in him.
Regulus pulled apart from Sirius 'He wants me brother.'
Sirius and Regulus stayed at the lake talking over what shall happen to Regulus. Both knowing there was only one outcome for Regulus.
Neither minded the cold autumn air, they were used to the coldness. But they didn't expect a chill when Talitha interrupted them.
'What are you doing with him Regulus! Don't allow him to poison your mind.'
Regulus and Sirius looked up at their sister, both with sadness apparent on their face.
A silence appeared as Talitha took in the sad look upon Regulus's face.
Regulus was the first to break the silence.
'I'm already poisoned sister.'Talitha fell back at his words, she didn't understand what he meant. He'd never been so morbid with her.
Sirius could tell Talitha wasn't used to this side of Regulus. He wished he could be the type of brother to comfort her.
It was Regulus again who broke the silence. 'Please forgive me sister.'
'Forgive you? For what?' Talitha questioned, her voice wasn't soft but harsh. And she cursed herself for sounding so tough.
Regulus sucked his cheek in, flexing his cheekbone. A common trait within the siblings whenever they wished not to portray their real feelings. Talitha and Sirius saw what had happened.
Talitha finally acknowledged Sirius's existence, glaring at him. Sirius met his sisters eyes. Warning her to tread carefully.
'Regulus please tell me what is going on.' Talitha said quietly bending down so that she was level with Regulus.
Regulus looked down at the grass, still chewing on the inside of his cheek. Before finally replying. 'He wants me. The dark Lord is after me.'
Talitha's eyes went crazy trying to compose herself but she couldn't. She couldn't believe what her brother had just said.
She reached out her hand and grabbed his pale one. Talitha said nothing else but just nodded.
She sat next to Regulus still holding onto his hand. Sirius followed Talitha's actions and sat on the other side of Regulus.
They sat in silence, staring out at the black lake as the cold air breezes through them. No one knew what to say but they were together.
And that's all Regulus needed. To not be alone.
