Notes: uhhh ik it's not anywhere near easter, but I wrote this oneshot a few months ago and I really like it, and I don't wanna wait until Easter comes again to post it,,,
As the warm sun came shining through the window, Naofumi slowly started to wake up from his slumber. As much as he would have loved to sleep in, he had something important he needed to do. He sat up in bed, yawning tiredly, as he looked over to Raphtalia, who was still fast asleep. A small grin appeared on his face as he thought about the wonderful day that was to come.
Today wasn't just any day, no, today was special. Today was Easter, and Naofumi was going to surprise Raphtalia with tons of chocolate eggs, and even some stuffed animals as well. Easter was always one of Naofumi's favourite holidays as a child, after Christmas of course. He hadn't celebrated it in years, but he looked forward to finally celebrating it again with Raphtalia.
Naofumi got out of bed, careful not to wake up Raphtalia. Ready to get everything set up, He quietly closed the door behind him, smiling as he got glance at Raphtalia, gracefully sleeping. He walked over to the spare bedroom, where he had everything was hiding from sight, as it was rare anyone would go in there.
On the bed was a large woven basket, filled with chocolate eggs. Naofumi picked up the basket filled with delicious chocolate eggs, and began placing them throughout the house, making a trail for Raphtalia to follow. He started the trail from outside of the bedroom, ending it on the kitchen table.
Once the eggs were all placed he grabbed some round-ish, very soft stuffed animals. One being a medium sized pink bunny with a carrot on it's tummy, the other a large chick. He also picked up a card and brought it to the kitchen table as well. Now that everything was in place, all that was left was to wake up Raphtalia. He picked up the basket, bringing it back into the room with him to give to Raphtalia.
He gently opened the door to the bedroom, carefully placing the basket beside the bed for a moment. He walked over to the bed, lightly poking Raphtalia, in attempts to wake her up. After a few gentle pokes, her eyes slowly began to open.
"Hmmm? Oh, good morning Naofumi.."
She quietly said, sleepily rubbing her eyes as she slowly sat up.
"Good morning, dear! I have a surprise for you!"
Naofumi said to Raphtalia, looking at her like an excited child, on Christmas morning.
"What? A surprise?"
"Mhm!" Naofumi nodded
"But you're going to be needing this first!" He said smiling, as he handed her the basket.
"What's this for, Naofumi?" Raphtalia asked, curious to what she was going to be needing a basket for.
"You'll see, just come with me!" Naofumi said, grabbing Raphtalia's hand in his own, showing her the way.
Raphtalia's face went red at suddenly having Naofumi hold on to her hand, but she happily followed Naofumi out the bedroom, excited to see what was awaiting her.
"Oh my goodness!" She said as she noticed the trail of eggs. She stood in place staring at them for a moment, before Naofumi quickly snapped her out of the sudden daze.
"Don't just stand there, pick them up and then put them in the basket. Keep doing that with all of them, and then you'll find something special at the end." Naofumi said as he smiled at Raphtalia.
"Okay!" She said excitedly, as she began picking up the eggs, and following the trail. Naofumi watched Raphtalia happily as she was picking up the eggs, after a few minutes, they finally arrived to the kitchen.
"Woah! Raphtalia happily exclaimed as she saw two very cute stuffed animals waiting on the table for her. She quickly gathered up the rest of the eggs, before finally getting to the plushies. Raphtalia picked up the large chick plush, hugging it close to her.
"Oh my!" It's so nice and soft! I love it so much Naofumi, thank you!" She said as she placed the chick back on the table, hugging Naofumi joyfully. Naofumi smiled softly as Raphtalia warped her arms tightly around him, returning the embrace.
"I'm so glad! There's still one thing left for you though!" He told her, as he loosened his grip around her. She walked over to the table, picking up a card reading;
'Happy first Easter, Raphtalia! I hope this was as enjoyable for you as this was for me as a kid. I'm so happy to celebrate with you for the first time, and for many years to come.

Raphtalia starred at the card in awe for a moment, not realizing she had started to tear up. She smiled softly, quickly wiping her eyes, before happily hugging Naofumi once again.
"Thank you so much, Naofumi! This was so special, I'll never forget about this, ever!"
"I'm so glad." He said as he warped his arms around Raphtalia once again for a few moments, before giving her a kiss on the lips. They touched for about three seconds, before pulling away.
"I love you so much, Raphtalia."
'I love you too Naofumi."
