Chapter 5

Menma POV:

Lord Seventh, Lady Hinata, Lord Sasuke and I decided to take our conversation to Lord Seventh's office.

Naruto: So Menma, why are you wanting to take on the Phantom Troupe? You do know they can kill you a hundred times over before you even hit the ground.

Menma: I'm aware of that. But tell are any of you aware of the Kurta Clan?

This caused Lord Sesventh and Lady Hinata to give me a confused, Lord Sasuke gave me an understanding look.

Sasuke: You mean that clan that was renowned for their scarlet eyes?

Menma: The very same. You see I have friend from that clan. From what he told me, his clan was slaughtered by the Phantom Troupe.

Naruto: Scarlet eyes?

Menma: Yes. Due to the Scarlet Eyes being considered one of the most gorgeous colors in the world, they are treated as a rare jewel by many. After the Phantom Troupe slaughtered the Kurta Clan, my friend Kurapika became the soul survivor.

Sasuke: But they didn't kill the Kurta Clan.

This caught my attention. What does he mean by the Phantom Troupe didn't kill Kurapika's clan?

Menma: What do you mean, Lord Sasuke?

Sasuke: I mean they weren't the ones who killed your friend's clan.

Menma: If it it wasn't the Troupe then who was it?

Sasuke: A white being called Zetsu.(that's right the Phantom Troupe did kill the Kurta Clan, White Zetsu did.)

Menma: Zetsu?

Naruto: That thing again?

Menma: I take it that you know this Zetsu.

Naruto: Yes. He is a pesky creature that caused everyone in the Elemental Nations a lot of problems. In a way he's like a virus or a parasite.

Menma: I'm still going to Yorknew City.

Naruto: But why?!

Menma: My friends and I agreed to meet up there on September first.

I then left the room and headed back to Mom's house. From there I went to bed. It was the next day, I then decided to extend my Ren. I then went to the third training ground.
