It was early morning.

Rain filled the dark and gloomy sky.

But with you cuddling next to me, it didn't seem that dark.

You were laying down on my lap, scrolling on your phone

While I was reading a book.

You told me that you wanted to go out on a walk.

I agreed and got an umbrella.

Even if we were wearing pajamas I wanted to go out for you.

We got out on the door but you took the umbrella and put it on the doorstep,

Grabbed my hand and walked in the rain.

I opposed the idea of being wet in the rain,

I tried to get out of your grasp.

But I saw your smile.

That damn smile I would sacrifice all the stars for if it meant you could keep that smile.

So I walked with you in the rain, 

You grabbed my hands and started dancing in the rain.

I chuckled at the sight,

While you were on your own universe dancing your heart out,

I grabbed your hands and placed them on my shoulders and placed mine on your waist

And swayed to the sound of the rain and the rhythm of our hearts.

It may seem like a funny sight, two people dancing in silence under the rain.

But it was perfect to me,

Us dancing under the skies with stars in your eyes;

And a smile brighter than the moon itself.

I do believe that this moment was written in the stars.
