Chapter 3 "Good friend"

Hugo's POV-We were moving closer, until somone grabbed my arm, and pulled me back.--I turned to see Zoe.--Sorry, but practice started! She said.--Before I could tell Sofia ANYTHING, she pulled me off towards the ice rink.--

Sofia's POV-I sighed.--HEY!!!--I jumped, turning to see Ryan, smirking behind me.--O-Oh, hi. I frowned......--I can't do this anymore, you LIKE Hugo don't you? He said, raising an eyebrow, his voice sounding, amused.--WHAT?!--Th-Thats CRAZY!--He's a friend.....NORMAL....f-friend! I said.--......"Sorry, but practice started!".....--I gotta go! I said, before walking off, quickly, trying to escape the awkward conversation.--

Hugo's POV-Ready to start practicing? Zoe said, as we walked toward the others.--Why'd you do that? I said, bluntly.--Do what? She asked.--...I glared at her.--I didn't MEAN to inturrupt!--Class was starting! She shrugged.--I rolled my eyes.--Hi!--I turned to see Sofia behind me.--I grinned, what are you doing here? I asked.--Junior team, practice got moved!--We're practicing with you guys! She said.--It was only then I noticed the junior team, walking up to us, as well.--Great!--But...where's Ryan? I asked.--Here! He said, walking up to us.--

Sofia's POV-Hugo smiled at me, as he walked passed, toward the ice.--I blushed.--Zoe grabbed my hand, stopping me, before I could skate onto the ice.--What do you think your doing? She said.--Going to practice. I said, confused.--Ugh.--Your moving in on MY man! She said.--....If this is about earlier, I'm sorry.--I didn't mean to.....--I processed her words.--Wait, didn't you guys break up? I grimaced.--Not for long, and if you so much as smile at him again, I'll make sure HE never misses you again! She said, her grasp growing tighter around my hand.--I barely felt it, as I watched Hugo, talk with Ryan, and a few other guys, his warm smile, lighting up his expression.--I snapped out of it, as I heard Zoe yell out, seemingly hurt.--OW!!!--OW!!! She yelled, holding her ankle.--Everyone turned, and skated up towards us.--What happened? Ryan asked.--Sofia kicked me in my ankle with her skate, I was only trying to convince her to try a new flip! She said.--WHAT!? I exclaimed, as everyone looked at me, shaking their heads.--N-No, no I didn't kick her!--She would've fell!--Even Amber looked angry!--I looked at Hugo. Y-You believe me....r-right? I said.--Everyone looked at him.--I frowned as he glanced at Zoe.--Guys, Sofia wouldn't do that!--I smiled.--Ryan, Amber, you BOTH know that, and I know her well enough, to know she wouldn't intensionally injure another student! He said.--Chad, one of the guys on the team, looked at Zoe.--I'll help you to the office for some ice, it doesnt matter how it happened! He said.--Thanks Chad! She said, with a fake smile.

--She turned, and glared, distinctivly at me.--I glanced at Hugo, hoping he saw, but he just looked deep in thought.--

Soon, all the commotion ended, and everyone went back to practicing.--It was amazing what new tricks I was watching.--I felt a smile growing on my face, as I watched Hugo, land a perfect, two turn pencil flip!--The two turn pencil flip, was a higher level flip, you had to flip, twice, with your body perfectly stright.--I didn't notice I was staring.--He turned, and locked his gaze with mine, snapping me out of it.--I blushed, and skated up toward him.--I...wanted to thank you...for standing up for me! I smiled at him.--I'll always back you up......but....I...know you don't like Zoe very much....did you...kick her? He asked.--I was surprised at his question.--No.--I-I thought you believed me! I said, feeling my heart sink.--I thought Hugo knew me better then that!--Sorry, but...no one saw what happened!--You can tell me!--Honestly.....did you? He asked, his voice as gentle as ever.--No. I said, shaking my head.--....SO, why don't we see who's better after all these years! He said, changing the topic, with a grin.--I smiled at him.--

The next two hours, were SO much fun!--And I obviously picked up a thing or two, from Hugo!--You....think I can try the two turned pencil flip? I asked.--He looked at me, I don't think--I'm going! I said, skating back.--I tried to flip with my back straight, but ended up bending forward.--I closed my eyes tight, as I felt myself started to fall.--I opened my eyes, feeling hands around my waist, and stomach.--I looked to see Hugo's arms around me.--He was so close, I could feel his breath blowing against my cheek.--
