Third Person's POV:
"The operation was successful yet the patient has lost a large amount of blood. Fortunately, there is someone willing to donate."
She's sitting uncomfortably, more like panicking on her own. She played with her own fingers, trying to release her nervousness away. Despite of that, she remained a calm expression on the outside.
"Mina, you exceeded the standards of being a good doctor. But something is missing. Are you distracted nowadays?"
She stopped fidgeting her fingers.
"Maybe. Maybe because of my rumors here inside the hospital." She kept quiet, answering his questions only on her head.
"Is it because of your issue?" She blankly looked down at the floor, not knowing what to react.
"I told you this before Mina. I didn't promote you to be the chief resident just because you're engaged to my son. I promoted you because of your skills." The director in front of her sighed. The old man took of his glasses.
"You've finished your three years of residency and even surpassed two more. Your workmates can't even reach half of it. I know you know it." He continued to assure her with the truth.
"But, do others know? How can I show it to them? How can I stop them?"
"Sometimes, proving to others what you can do is not useful. It depends on the person if they can see it or not."

She closed the door after spending a small amount of time with the medical director, the highest of them all. As she walked through the hallway, she can hear murmurs. They must've been thinking that she's asking favors at the director again. Well, she didn't look at them but she knew that they are looking at her with intense glares. Those kind of people.
Inside or outside the hospital, no one treated her by her status. Even though she's already the chief resident, the highest status inside the basic medical heirarchy, they never treated her unlike her fiancé, who is loved by everyone.
Well, they do have a point. I mean, Jeon Wonwoo, a tall, handsome guy who's rank is two times higher than hers. Many people respects him because of his rank and himself but that's unfair for her part. She also didn't do anything wrong, hello?
After a stressful night, she decided to go to the break room. She wants to be alone in a small room, drink some coffee, and see the view of the city lights outside the large glass window. But before she could, something started again.
"I know. That Myoui Mina bribed the director because he's soon to be his father-in-law? Just because Wonwoo is the son of the director doesn't mean she can also have a high rank."
She leaned more closer to the door, listening to the conversation of the two girls.
"Right. Earlier, she almost lost a patient. She's not even that good. She's really not deserving."
She then heard a bunch of laughters inside that small room. They added more painful words but soon ended when they opened the door.
The two girls froze in their position. Mina was confused. I mean, she's always used to this situation. They would always roll their eyes and ignore her presence. But this time, they looked scared.
"What." She suddenly felt a warm breath right beside her ears. She immediately looked behind and saw Wonwoo, looking seriously at the two girls in front of her.
She was focused on listening and didn't realize that her fiancé is already behind her.
"Excuse me." The girls left as soon as they felt the sharp gazes of Wonwoo.
Mina sighed as she went inside the small break room.
"Do you want coffee?" She asked.
"Are you okay?"
"I asked you if you want cof-"
"Well my answer is, are you okay?"
She slightly laughed. Good thing that Wonwoo has still the chance to make her chuckle.
"I'm, fine." She muttered as she starts to make coffee for the two of them. As soon as it ended, he sat in front of Wonwoo as they both witnessed the lights of the city.
"Should I fire them?" After minutes of silence, he spoke.
"You don't have to." She faint a smile. She knows how much she wants to runaway, but she won't. She already have all her dreams literally right in front of her. Her years of growth will cut off in just a second if she continues to escape.
As she was lost by her thoughts, she felt something was missing.
"Oh." She rummaged something inside her pocket and wore it.
"I forgot to put it back. I was in the surgery earlier."
Wonwoo firmly smiled, glad to see that Mina was so happy wearing their engagement ring. He averted his gaze on his fingers, looking at the ring too.
"Are you happy?" That sudden question slipped from his mouth.
"Of course I am Wonwoo." She said, stating the obvious.
"Because the people here bothers you a lot. Do you ever think of, you know, running away?" He mumbled but she can clearly hear him.
She cleared her throat before she drank a large amount of coffee. She must've been guilty of what he said.
"Not, not at all." She gave him a small glance as she looked at the window beside them.
"I saw the letters you wrote, accidentally. The paper was not crumpled thoroughly in the trash can so I thought, it was still useful. I'm sorry." He lowered his head, staring at the floor.
Right. The letters. She planned on escaping therefore, she made a letter explaining the reasons on why she will runaway. By the time she realized that she can't, she immediately threw it on the trash can, not knowing that someone might notice it.
He slowly stood up and kneeled in front of her. Tears were trying to escape from his eyes.
"Are you planning to leave me?"
It was a very hard choice for her. As she thought, she can't handle the things that is happening around her. The rumors, fake news, plastic friends, she was hurt multiple times. Yet, there is a reason why she wants to stay, it's because of him. His existence led her to handle negativities and pain just so that she can stay close to him.
She softly closed her eyes and felt how the tears slide from her cheeks.
"You know why the letter is in the trash can right? It's because I don't need it, it's garbage. I'm sorry Wonwoo." Her arms spread widely as she hugged him.
As much as she sacrificed a lot, he also did the same thing for her; by risking his life. She wouldn't be able to walk in the past years when Wonwoo didn't save her from car crash. She regretted everything in that time because he took her position, the one who should be laying in the hospital bed for almost three years.
"You won't run away would you?" He said, facing her with his sparkly eyes. She was fond of it, she is in love.
"How can I when I can't leave you?"
