You run into Pedro on the subway in New York City and end up hitting it off.

Some minor swearing but mostly fluff and fun.

...................

"Shit!" You're running as fast as you can down the steps that lead to the subway and hoping you'll make it in time.

You just manage to squeeze through the closing doors on the subway car before it takes off down the track.

You collapse against the doors, trying to slow your heart rate and breathing. Your stupid class went over and you nearly had to wait another hour to catch the next subway that was headed where you needed to go.

You turn, scoping out if there's any seats available or if you'll be stuck standing the entire forty minute subway ride to your stop.

You spot an empty seat next to some man, who's sipping some smoothie and has his ear buds in. You take a seat, keeping your back to him.

New York City is so weird when it comes to people talking to each other out in public. Here everyone is, crammed pretty much on top of each other and you just all pretend that the other people don't exist.

You set your big, bulky bag on your lap and rummage around for the candy bar you bought earlier. You were starting. You didn't have a chance to grab any lunch because you were stuck in that stupid class.

You thought that once you graduated from school, no more damn classes. Hah! Your mom thought it was a good idea to enroll you in this English Literature class, to and you quote 'broaden your horizons.'

Whatever the hell that meant. The class wasn't terrible by any means, but with your job and all, you really don't have a lot of extra time to spread around.

You feel something drop and look down, wondering what the hell just fell out of your bag. Nothing. The guy sitting next to you dropped his phone.

Automatically, you lean down and scoop it up, turning to hand it to the man. He smiles at you and you realize that he seems vaguely familiar. Then it hits you: IT'S PEDRO PASCAL!!

How could you just sit here and not know that PEDRO PASCAL was sitting on the subway seat, right next to you?

He pulls one of his ear buds out of his ear and leans closer.

"Hey, thanks. I'd be in some real trouble if I lost my damn phone!"

You grin like a completely idiot, wishing you had the courage to ask if you could take a selfie with him.

"Uh, uh, no... problem!"

You turn away, but Pedro gently touches your knee and you nearly skyrocket through the subway car's roof.

"I'm Pedro," he says. (Like you didn't know!)

"I'm Y/N. Pleasure."

"It sure is!" Pedro winks at you and you nearly pass out. Oh. My. Gosh! You're inwardly freaking out.

"Can I see your phone?" What? Why does PEDRO PASCAL need your phone?

"Sure." You rummage around in your bag and pull it out, handing it over to him and he GIVES YOU HIS CELL NUMBER!!

AHHH! Shit! Is this really happening? Did you accidentally fall asleep in class and now, you're dreaming that you met Pedro Pascal on the subway??

"Can I get your number?" Oh, shit. You think you're going to start hyperventilating any second. This isn't real. There's no damn way this is real.

"Sure." Pedro hands you his cell and you type in your number and hand it back to him. He has this incredibly stupid smile on his face and it's turning your insides to mush.

You shake yourself. You need to pay attention so that you don't miss your damn stop. Your friends are coming over tonight and you've really been looking forward to it all week.

"Say, are you busy this evening?" You can't believe at how calm you sound, especially considering to feel like hurling.

"Surprisingly, no. Why? What do you have going on?"

"Some close friends if mine are coming over. We're just going to chill and shoot the shit. You interested?"

"Will there be alcohol?" You can tell by the tone of his voice, that Pedro is teasing you.

"Definitely." Pedro grins.

"Cool. Just give me the address and I'll swing by."

Oh. My. Gosh. Just wait until your friends see you with Pedro Pascal!

.......................

"Who's this special guest?" Your best friend A/N asks you. You shrug, not saying a word.

"Can't you give me a little hint?"

"Nope!" Your buzzer sounds and you nearly trip over your own feet getting there.

"Yes?"

"Is this Y/N?" Pedro asks.

"Yep!" You hit the button and buzz him in.

You wait by the front door, A/N right next to you. There's a knock on the door. You unlock it and pull it open.

A/N's mouth drops open in shock.

"Hey, Pedro," you greet him. "Come on in. This is my best friend, A/N. A/N, this is Pedro. As Pascal?"

A/N quickly recovers and let's out an ear piercing squeal, sending everyone else rushing over.

You introduce each of your friends to Pedro and he's so cool about meeting all of them.

You grab Pedro's hand and start dancing with him. You know that Pedro likes to dance. He grips your hips in his hands and you lean in, giving him a little kiss.

Pedro laughs and kisses you back! AHHH! PEDRO PASCAL JUST KISSED YOU! (You'll never wash these lips again!)

"Thanks for coming," you whisper in Pedro's ear as he holds you close.

"Hey, thanks for inviting me. I'm already having a fantastic time." You grin. You too.

......................

It's hard to let Pedro go. But you know he must. (Dramatic sigh.) He's actually the last one to leave, which surprises you a little.

He holds you as you kiss him goodbye.

"This isn't goodbye for good, Y/N," Pedro murmurs in your ear.

"I hope not."

"It's really not." Pedro gently kisses you again. You can't stop yourself from grinning ear to ear.

"I'm really happy we met."

"As much as I hate to admit this, I could probably give my mom all the credit."

"How's that?"

"Because the class I was telling you about? It was kinda her idea.'

Pedro laughs. He gives you one last kiss and a hug before reluctantly pulling back.

"I hate to go, but I have to be up early tomorrow morning to do an interview. But after that, my day's free. I'll call you?"

"Sounds good. Goodbye, Pedro."

Pedro winks at you and you nearly pass out once again.

"Goodbye, Y/N."
