CHAPTER-10 The Web We Have Weaved

Tinghao: bai cao, say something. I hate this silence.
Bai cao: what do you want me to say senior? That I like you too?
Tinghao: I want you to talk to me and tell me what you are thinking bai cao.
Bai cao: I don't want to hurt you anymore, so it's best if I don't say anything.
Tinghao: I don't care if you don't like me back, think of me as you always have and tell me what's on your mind. You have changed so much. I don't know how to get through to you anymore. You used to be so calm and patient, now days you are always crying and no longer how you used to be.
Bai cao: with all this pressure around me, how do you expect me not to crack? I have always tried to be a good girl, listening to my elders and seniors, doing what is expected of me, hiding my tears and being happy. I always thought, if I don't act out and continue being a nice person, life will one day reward me but everything just keeps on getting worse. It feels like everyone is testing my patience, seeing how much of it I can take and waiting for me to crack.
I want to cry, but what can crying ever do? I want to laugh, but what's the meaning of happiness when you don't truly feel it?
I'm sorry that I've been acting out senior and I'm sorry I dumped all of this out on you. I didn't mean to upset anyone, ever, just feels like everyone means to upset me.

Hearing this, tinghao was speechless. He didn't know what to say. He realised how much stress and mental pressure Bai cao was under and thought that he might have added on to that pressure. Bai cao started weeping and tinghao tried to calm her up with a warm hug.

Tinghao: do you now want to meet ruo Bai?
Bai cao: yes, I think I'm ready.

They both got up from their seats and went towards the elevator. Tinghao pressed the button to go up. The door opened and they both stepped in. It took 1 long minute to reach the floor ruo Bai was on. They both said nothing on their way up. The door opened revealing the 5th floor, the floor ruo bai's room was on. They both stepped out and walked through the corridor and reached his room.
