CHAPTER-9 Everything Has Changed

Yifeng entered ruobai's room. He got a little teary eyed but tried to stay strong for his friend because he knew, even though he missed him terribly, ruobai had other problems too.

Yifeng: hey buddy, I'm back. You probably can't hear me because you're asleep but I'm going to talk to you.
Bai cao misses you even though she's pissed at you, everyone at song bai still thinks about you everyday.
Now I don't know how things got so messed up but I hate the fact that they did.

"You sleepy idiot, you finally stopped yawning and saw the world for how it is", said a voice almost melodious to Yifeng's ears.
Yifeng: ruobai, brother, you're awake. Oh my goodness!
Ruobai: hey buddy, how are you?
Yifeng: I'm good, it's been a while. I don't need to ask how you are doing.

Ruobai though tired, still chuckled at yifeng and they both continued to talk for a while. Meanwhile, outside, bai cao was no where to be seen.
Outside the room-

Tinghao came up to everyone with canned juices in his hands from the cafeteria. He passed one out to everyone sitting there. He suddenly noticed that bai cao was no where to be seen.

Tinghao: where is she?
Xiao ying: I don't know, she went down searching for you, senior.
Tinghao: oh. Here, everyone drink these, I'll go look for her.

Saying that, tinghao headed out to look for bai cao. He searched everywhere inside the building but she was no where to be seen. He figured she couldn't have gone into the restricted areas so he avoided wasting his time there. Ting hao even searched outside the hospital building but she wasn't there either.
He decided to check in the cafeteria and to his surprise, she was right there eating a sandwich.

Tinghao: I see you're finally eating.
Bai cao: senior! I'm sorry for leaving without telling. You were right, I am very hungry.
Tinghao: well at least you're eating. I thought you wanted to see him all better now, why didn't you go in before yifeng huh?
Bai cao: just didn't feel right. I mean, I do miss him, I'm just not sure I want to see him right now.
Tinghao: I get that you are mad at him, but you see that is the difference between me and him. I would never hurt you.
Bai cao: I know, that is exactly why you're my best friend, don't tell xiao ying I said that.
Tinghao: Bai cao, you know what I mean. And there's one more thing, chu yuan still likes you. I promised him I wouldn't say anything but you have a right to know.
Bai cao: senior i-
Tinghao: look I'm sorry if I'm putting more pressure on you or complicating your life but it's the truth cao cao. It had to come out one way or another and I'm sorry that it came out this way. But I'm not sorry that I like you.

Baicao remained silent. She had no idea how she was going to handle all this.
