Amina’s POV
The party was only getting started, I thought, revealing a mischievous smile as I sprinted after Niall.
"I'm gonna get you, cheeky Mullingar Boy!" I yelled through fits of giggling.
"Not if I get you back first!" I turned around just in time for more cake to land on my face. How the hell did Niall get back there?!
We were now outside the hotel corridor and if we didn't get back inside the boys' room soon enough, we were going to be told off by the Hotel Night Duty Management for the havoc we were stirring up. "We probably should get back Nialler, we could be caught by Management." I stated.
With a quick nod, his pace increased as he raced ahead of me. "Race back; last person is a rotten egg!" I smirked at that; the last time I heard that was when I was in Primary School. (AN: that's the equivalent of Elementary School elsewhere, I think?)
Groaning, I turned on my heels and made a dash for the cheeky Irish boy, when someone or something's shadows caught my eye. Forgetting about the race back, I walked in the direction of the shadow, which was in the Hotel Lobby.
A figure was sitting head down, in silence. Suddenly, it felt like a bad idea to be out here all on my own. Just as I was about to tiptoe back in the direction of the hotel room, a voice interrupted me.
"Amina?" The voice was hesitant but I couldn't help but think that this person knew me! I was officially freaking out. I froze on my heels and turned around cautiously to face the- face Liam?! What was he doing out here?
"L-Liam? What are you doing out here all alone?" My words imitated my thoughts.
There was no reply. Instead, Liam scanned my face, as though looking for a clue. Clue? What clue? I had no idea. His thoughtful brown eyes bore into mine and I cringed at the tension between us. He shrugged once and walked past me, brushing his shoulder against mine as he did so. Okay, what was that all about?
“Liam! Wait up! Where are you heading off to?” I was quick to ask.
He didn’t turn back to face me, but replied anyway, “Back to the party.” His emotionless voice sent a shiver down my spine. I rushed after him, making sure to give him some space by staying a few steps behind his stride.

“Here comes Ami, the rotten egg!” Niall cooed as soon as I stepped back into the party atmosphere. I gave him a small smile, too confused with Liam’s actions to retort to his victory statement. “So you accept defeat?! Yay!” The blonde boy ran around screaming. Someone was on a high today, I thought, chuckling softly.
“According to your “rules” I said, quoting with my fingers, “it does seem that I have to admit to being a rotten egg.” I ruffled his blonde hair lightly. He laughed in response.
“What took you so long anyway?” he asked in concern, after his hearty laugh.
I just nodded my heard in the direction of where Liam was now talking to Louis. He had completely transformed his mood in less than a minute! Wow, this boy was bipolar! Wait that meant his frustrated mood earlier was due to... me? I shook my head at that thought. What did I do to him? Beat him in the Singstar game. Oh wow, did Liam really get worked over such little things? That couldn’t be it. I was out of my thoughts as Niall turned back to me. “Liam? I don’t understand...” Niall made out, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“I don’t either,” I simply stated. This earned me a raised eyebrow from Niall, so I recapped on what had just happened back in the Hotel Lobby. He nodded once, his head cocked to one side as he went over in his head what I just told him.
