A Dangerous Game

Chapter 21

Y/n's POV:
I wake up in the morning and go downstairs. I smile at Sarah and Lucy. I go to the kitchen and get breakfast.
"Good morning" I smile and get a cup of tea.
"Morning" Sarah smiled at me
"Good morning Y/n!" Lucy said smiling.

Once I was ready for school, I get my bag and then leave the house. I meet up with Charlie and walk to school with her. "I think I might cut my hair after school tomorrow, you want to come?" She asked me.
"Ugh yeah sure, I was kind of thinking about getting mine shorter anyway, so I'll just get it done at the same time."
I reply and smile.
"Great!" She smiled.

We go to school and went to our first class. When break came, I went to my friends and we all hung out. Abby came up to me and stood next to me. I look at her and smile a little.
"Hey I'm sorry about that other day, when I ran off" I say and she shakes her head.
"It's fine don't worry" she says and I smile. I continue to talk to my friends for the rest of break. Abby links my arm with hers and I smile a little but I can't help but think of Sarah. The bell went for us to go to our next lesson. Abby kissed my cheek and my eyes widen a little. I turn around and I see the back of Sarah's head. My stomach flipped a little.
I went to my next lesson with my friends and of course they keep talking about it until we actually separate, they all knew that I was living with Sarah and that I had a bit of a thing for her.

I go to my next lesson and sit through it quietly. I thought about Sarah and Abby, I gave up on Sarah now, I know nothing will happen between us now.

When the bell went I went to the canteen. I got some food and I saw Sarah walking across the school. I watched her and then I heard my friends say my nickname. I look over and walk to them. We go to sit at our usual bench.

After lunch was done I went to my last lesson which was drama with Sarah. I went inside and put my bag and shoes down. I go to the middle and talk to Charlie. I do the lesson but Sarah seemed a bit distant from me.

After the lesson I went up to her.
"I'm going to go to the hairdressers with Charlie, but I don't think I'll be that long" I say and look up at her.
"Okay, have a nice time" she says and looks at me, I tried to read her smile but there was no emotion behind it. I nod and then I walked back to Charlie and we walked out of school.

We walked to the hairdressers and sat in the waiting chairs. I talk to Charlie and then we get our haircut. Charlie gets a trim and I get it cut (however you like your hair).

When we were done we both take pictures together and then we start to walk home again. I walk to Sarah's house but then my dad called me. I stand outside the house and accept the call.

"Hey, do you want to come over this weekend?" He asks and I panic a little bit.
"Um, I'm not sure if I'm free or. It but I'll have to ask" I reply
"Yeah just ask your mum and call me back" he says and then I panic a bit more and my mind gets full of memories of my mum yelling at me and storming into school the other day. He ends the call, I sigh and clear my throat. I walk inside and go to the living room.
"Um Sarah?" I ask and she turns around drinking a glass of wine.
"Hi" she says, I look around "where's Lucy?" I ask
"She's at a friends house" she says and I nod
"Um, my dad phoned me and asked me if I wanted to go, he doesn't know what happened between me and her" I say, my voice shaking a bit. Sarah stood up and walked next to me. "Do you want to go? I could always talk to him if you want?" She says and I shrug.
"I just wish it could go back to how it used to be. I don't know what's going on anymore, I'm so grateful for you and Lucy letting me stay here, but it feels like I've got so much to deal with and ..." my eyes start to tear up and my eyesight goes blurry. "I just wish, I want everything to disappear" I start to sob.

Sarah puts her drink down and wraps her arms around me and I cry in her arms. Feeling her strong yet but comforting arms grounded me and calmed me down.

"It's okay, I'll be here for whatever you need. If you need me that is" She says and I frown and pull away a little.
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Well have that girl don't you?" She said and went to get her class and sipped it.
"What girl? What do you mean?"
"The girl who kissed your cheek and it always so attached to you!"
"Abby? Wh- Are you jealous?!" My eyes widen and chuckled.
"Of course I am! I don't want her doing that! It should be me!" She almost yells
I stay silent for a moment "what?" I ask
"I- I love you y/n" she says "I'm in love with you"
I look at her and she sighs and covers  her face.
"Sarah? I think I love you too" I whisper. Sarah looks back up at me "you do?" She asks and I nod. She smiled and walked over to me. I looked up at her. She cupped my cheeks and smiled. She leaned down a little since I was just a bit smaller than her.
Her lips brushed against mine, I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling of her lips in mine.
