UnBirthdays:
For those who don't know what they are, you have one every day of the year except for your birthday. Pretty simple concept. Well, today I'm celebrating my UnBirthday!!! What about you???Now, I still remember when I first read the book Through the Looking Glass and read about Alice celebrating her UnBirthday. However, I can't say that I can remember if any of the other characters in that specific chapter had celebrated their UnBirthday that were mentioned.
But then, I watched the animated Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter, Alice and the Queen of Hearts herself were all celebrating their UnBirthdays. The thing about it though, is that the concept of UnBirthdays seemed to be normal to me and I remember trying to trick my parents into getting me something for my UnBirthday.
(Don't worry, I don't do that anymore). UnBirthdays are a part of my childhood and they kind of resemble my childhood, much like Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass do.Its those certain memories that we remember because they made either a small impact on our lives, or there was something else special about it. Hold onto those memories any way you can. You will cherish them forever.
The worst mistake I've ever told myself was, "I don't need to write that down, I'll remember it." You know that's true.
