"I don't want a boyfriend!"
"Aw, c'mon! I know you do!" Kristine whined. "I mean, every other girl in our grade has hooked up already! You're going to get left behind if you don't find someone fast," she widened her eyes and looked at Meg with a pout lip and a concerned look on her face.
"Look, I don't care about that right now. If every other girl wants to hook up, have sex, get an unwanted pregnancy, and abandoned," Meg listed them off on her fingers. "Then they can go and ruin their lives together! I'm not doing that," Meg crossed her arms and shifted her weight onto her left leg.
Kristine let out a puff of air, blowing strands of hair that were constantly tickling her eyes. She stuck her hands into her jean pockets, but after realizing they were fake pockets meant for display, gripped her hips and looked Meg straight in the eye.
"Fine, do whatever you want. You're going to end up alone, and you're going to regret it," she rolled her eyes. "'Kristine was right! I should have gotten a boyfriend!'" Kristine mocked in a high pitched voice.
Now it was Meg's turn to roll her eyes. She opened her mouth, but was interrupted by the loud BBRRRRIIING of the school bell. Closing her mouth, she turned away from Kristine and walked towards the door, ignoring Kristine's words as she stepped out of study hall. Meg looked both sides as if crossing a road to make sure she didn't run into anyone walking by, and continued on her way to her locker.
"Hey," a voice whispered into her ear right before she whipped around. Tyler flinched as Meg's hair sliced his face from her little spin. "What's up?"
"Hey," she scowled. Tyler was a jerk: he didn't stay with girls, didn't pay attention in class, pretended he was cool, and altogether was a douchebag. "Get out of the way, douche-nozzle," Meg grumbled, stepping around him.
"Whoa, whoa!" Tyler stuck out his arm as to allow Meg to walk straight into it. "What's your problem?"
"You, that's what. Now get out of my way, Tyler," Meg glared and pushed his arm off.
"C'mon, baby girl! I just wanted to talk!" Tyler shouted after Meg hurrying off to her locker.
