5 years later (Shoto is 10 and Touya is 19ish)

Shoto's POV:

"UUUGGGHHH!!! Shoto! Stawp moving!" Touya yelled at me jokingly, "I'm gonna get hair dye everywhere!" I just giggled at him.

We've been on our own for about 5 years, everyone thinking that we had died in that big fire. Obviously they were wrong.

Touya had got his own job and has been working a lot to pay for our apartment, food, clothes, and some text books for me. He's also been homeschooling me every now and then. I feel really bad that I can't do anything to help, but he assures me that it's fine and that I can help when I get older.

We also dyed our hair to try hide our old idenities. Touya dyed his hair fully black while I died the left side of mine white. To remind me more of mum. I still wonder what she does these days. Is she just sitting in her room at the mental hospital? Has she heard about me and Touya's death? Is she worried about us? What about Fuyumi and Nastuo? Sometimes I imangine what it would've been like if they'd come with us.

"All done!" Touya announced. I looked up to see my full white hair. I also wear an eye patch, bandage thing over my left eye. To cover my scar. My hair may look different, but I think the scar gives it away, even if people had only seen Shoto Todoroki with it for a few months.

"Thank you so much Touya-nii!" I turned to face him. Touya's quirk is slowly hurting him, you see, so he has many burn marks everywhere. He even had to staple some of his dead skin back into himself. It's terrifying to watch, but he tells me that his fine and that they're nothing to worry about. He decided to dye his hair fully black, he kinda looks like a villain to be honest, but he's still my big brother and I love him!

"Okay," Touya told me, "I have to go to the grocery store real quick. Remember, no going outside the apartment alone, no eating all the food, no-"

"No quirk practise cause it's too dangerous, and no answering the door to strangers and anyone who looks sketchy," I finish and smirk. His rules are so easy to remember. I know he wants to keep me safe, but it gets kind of predictable.

He looks kind of annoyed but smiles back, "But if someone like a Pro Hero, the police or even just one of my colleagues shows up, open the door and say you're Dabi's little brother, Fuyuto."

I nodded. Since we're hiding our idenities we kinda have to change our names. For five years we've been going by Dabi and Fuyuto Mizuno.

We're seen by others as... strange. I mean, he has 'black' hair and blue eyes while I have white hair and people can only see my grey eye. Many find it hard to believe that we're related. Most people almost never see me, I spend most of my time indoors reading, cooking, cleaning, etc. But me and Touya don't mind, he said that we're going to wait until I get a little older and when people start forgeting about Touya and Shoto Todoroki. Then we'll move to a different country and get a fresh start. I honestly can't wait.

It's been about 15 minutes since Touya left now, I thought anxiously, He should be back by now. Maybe he bumped into one of his colleagues. Maybe he can't find the rice brand we normally use. What if... someone recognized him?!

Okay, now I'm overreacting. I'm sure he's fine. There's no way he could've been recognized, I mean, he looks like a burnt chicken nugget. I laugh a little.

I finished all my chores today, so I decided to turn on the news. That's another reason why I'm different. Most kids watch cartoons, movies, or news about heros. I just watch regular news.

"This just in, a villain has been found stealing from an old women," said a news reporter. I rolled my eyes. That's what it is these days. Heros this. Villains that. Blah blah blah.
