I watched Ylvene from the corner of my optics, and I was in awe of how beautiful she was. Her hair shined from the glow of the stars, and her eyes were as bright as rubies. I flew into the hangar, and she looked around, seeing all the ships coming in and out. " Come on Snowy, we need to introduce you to the rest of the Vanguard. Just to warn... Zavala is a bit of a hard ass." I told her, watching as she smiled slightly, and followed me out of the ship.

The Vanguard was waiting outside of the ship, and I smiled, saying," Zavala, Ikora. You are just in time. The HIVE weren't bringing a monster through... they were bringing a person. I would like you to meet Ylvene. Not only did she save my life TWICE... but she is also my soulmate. Come say hi."

Their eyes widened in surprise, and Ylvene chuckled gently, making my power source skip a beat. " What a way to break it to 'em darling. Again, the whole soulmate thing will take time to get used to. Weh don't have soulmates where I am from. Yeh would date the person yeh like, and hope it works out." She told us, crossing her arms, and their eyes widened even further.

" And if it doesn't?" Zavala asked curiously, watching as something flickered in her eyes, and frowned slightly when I felt heartbreak from her side of the bond.

" Someone's heart is usually broken. or they break up in mutual agreement. One of the two." She told us bluntly, watching as they looked at her in alarm, and I looked at her in suspicion.

" That sounds like a lonely life." I told her gently, crossing my arms, and leaned against a table, looking at her in question.

She looked at me, and nodded, saying," It can beh. Yeh get used to it after a while."

Her look told me not to mention anything, and I gave a small nod only she could see. Ikora was twitching, and I smile at her in amusement, asking," You want to know about her dimension don't you? Don't deny it, I can see you twitching there."

Ikora glared at me slightly, and Ylvene smiled warmly, saying," Yeh can ask. I am willing to teach."

Ikora's eyes brightened, and Ylvene laughed when Ikora pulled her towards the command center. I looked at them in surprise, and I could feel Ylvene's delight from teaching someone bout where she comes from. " Did Ikora just steal my soulmate?" I mumbled in disbelief, Zavala huffing in amusement, and walked after to the two woman.

I hurried after them, and walked into the room, surprised when I saw some sort of light coming from her hands. I walked closer, and sat next to Ylvene, listening to her lecture. " - rlocks from meh world. Weh are magic users, and immortal 'cause of our heritage. Each warlock's magic is unique in it's own way. Each warlock specializes best in one field. Healing, potion making, charms... the list goes on. One thing I will tell yeh now, is each warlock has what weh call - warlock marks - a animal attribute that shows our heritage. Meh advice, yeh NEVER ask a warlock to show their mark without 'em bringing it up. It is considered rude, and offensive. I have seen a warlock turn someone into a rat for asking them to reveal their mark." She told us, quirking a brow, and looking at the others in amusement.

" You said each warlock specializes in a certain field. What do you specialize in?" Zavala asked curiously, watching as she slowly smirked, and I smiled from the twinkle in her eyes.

" I am a necromance. I specialize in battle magic. I can make weapons out of magic, and trust meh, getting stabbed by an pure magical knife is NOT pleasant." She told us, tilting my head, and hummed in thought.

" You know, I can see that. The thing that bothers me is you know what being stabbed by a magical knife feels like. I don't know whether I should be worried or pissed." I told her, narrowing my eyes, and ran a finger down my horn.

She smirked at me, and huffed, saying," I have a friend that was a bit of both. Sheh was fussing over meh, and trying to beat the warlock that hurt meh at the same time. Sheh was weird like that."

Zavala huffed in amusement, and I looked at her in surprise, saying," You are surprisingly calm about being stabbed. You would think that you would be scared to tell about something like that."

She quirked a brow, and she  chuckled, saying," Darlin', I am old. I am considered an elder to the rest of the warlocks. I am WAY past ashamed OR nervous about telling about events that happened in meh past. The only things I won't talk about is around the beginning of meh life... along with a few other things."

Zavala quirked a brow, and I narrowed my eyes playfully, saying," I want to ask how old you are, but I don't want to be rude by asking about said age."

She smiled in amusement, and she tilted her head, saying," Yeh wouldn't believe meh if I told yeh."

I pouted, but she just smiled, not giving in. I looked outside, and I was surprised to see it was dark out. " I think we are should rest. I look forward to learning more about your world... and you. Goodnight." Ikora told us, walking out of the room, and Zavala walked out after her.

" Come one. You can sleep at my place tonight until we find a place of your own." I told her, watching as she nodded, and we walked out of the room together.

We walked into my courters, and she looked around, looking out when she caught sight of the Traveler. " That is the traveler. He protected us from the darkness many years ago. Now... we protect him and the city both." I told her, standing next to her, and crossed my arms, looking at the traveler in thought.

She looked at me slightly, but snapped her fingers, quirking a brow when I saw sweatpants and a sweatshirt replace her other clothes. " Unfortunately, I only have one bed. Is... that okay? I can sleep on the couch if you want." I told her quickly, watching as she looked at me in amusement, and smiled slightly.

" Weh can share darlin'. I do not mind. Now, let us get to bed. I feel like tomorrow is going to beh a long day." She told me, climbing into the bed near the wall, and I climbed in bed, covering myself with the blanket.

We face each other, and she smiled, whispering," Goodnight Cayde."

I smiled softly, and watched as she fell asleep, whispering," Goodnight Vin."

I offline my optics, and hoped tomorrow was as easy as today.
