The sky overhead is now blue. It's dotted with fluffy white clouds dancing around, and a gentle rain coming down. Chilly breezes carry falling leaves around, dropping them wherever.
A beautiful day.
Though no matter how beautiful it is, it cannot hide the horrors of humanity.
There at the window, the red haired girl sat. Her chocolate brown orbs fixed on the grass, shiny with dew and gently swaying in the breeze, and the clear blue sky overhead, birds flying around, and leaves blowing here and there. The light raindrops falling on her window made shiny streaks, trailing all the way down.
She sat on her bed. Her crimson red hair slightly messy and the dark circles under her eyes visible.
Who is this girl? Oh right..
Scarlette Nivaden.
A (relitivaley) pretty girl with a horrible secret.
Quietly, she sighed. Slowly getting up and getting ready for another miserable day. Whilst brushing her hair, she used makeup to hide the circles under her eyes. She lived in a large house, she had a dog, loving parents and siblings, a large yard and many stuffed animals. Yet she hated it here.
Why?
Simple. She had a toxic family. Her parents and siblings weren't loving or supporting in any way. Her mother only cared about grades and looks. Her father was almost never around. Her sister pulled her hair and easily got mad with her. Her brother hates her guts and had left three years ago. All her stuffed animals were from friends or from years ago, when her life was different. Speaking of which.. there's her mother now.
"Scarlette!"
"..Yea?"
"Get your lazy ass up and come eat!"
"..Okay.."
She made her way to the kitchen slowly, still tired. She didn't look her mother in the eyes, or even looked at her at all for that matter. She served herself breakfast and ate quietly.
"God, not even a 'Good morning' or 'How are you?'? Be thankful you have such an easy life."
Her mother continued on about how ungrateful her daughter was and how her attitude was the reason her grades were going down. The red haired girl continued to sit and eat quietly listening to her mother rant on. She wanted to fight back, she did.. But something stopped her from doing so.
Timeskip:
It was evening now. Scarlette once again sat at her window. She was watching the other children run around, playing, without a care in the world. "Oh how I wish I could do that..." she muttered quietly.
Things were not always as they are now.
Once. Many years ago, she had a life similar to those children outside. She had many memories in a grassy field, on a picnic, under the shade of a tree.
But all good things must end.
Soon enough, her father spent more time at work. Her mother started caring less about her. Her sister grew more distant. Her brother left. Soon it was just her.
She then only heard how much of a brat she was.
You're useless!
What purpose do you serve here other then just sitting around?
You just need to try harder.
You need to lose weight.
Cut your hair already, it makes you look worse.
Get over it, he was just a dog!
Stop being a brat already.
It hurt to hear those words. But from her family? It broke her. Scarlette soon enough gained mental illnesses and disorders.
She quietly cried, wondering why they all hated her all of a sudden. These people no longer felt like family. She was living with strangers. People she once knew.
Her father.. Her mother.. Her brother.. her sister..
People who had been stripped from her family.
"Hey brat!"
Speak of the devil..
"Yea..?" she responded quietly.
"Go fucking shower! Didn't you hear mom!?"
I don't consider her my mother. And why would I listen to anything she says?
"I'm going.."
"Well hurry up!"
"Okay.."
She sighed and went.
Timeskip:
She sat on her bed again.
Cursing at her family for every time they simply stood there, watching her cry.
Watching her beg.
Watching her, and doing nothing to help when she needed it most.
Soon enough, that's when the abuse started.
Almost every week.
Bloody. Crying. Weak.
She hated them even more now. A pure burning hatred. She wanted them dead. Soon enough, she reached her breaking point..
And she went insane.
