she grabs the chair beside me
pulls it
and places down her books and supplies

i smile back
and i probably look like an idiot
i could tell she had a long, hard day
by the way her cheeks were tinted with a slight red
and the way her hairs parted
and yet.
she was the prettiest girl
in the class
in the grade
in the school,
in the town

"i'm eren" i return the smile
"nice to meet you, i'm y/n"
i looked at the windows
and saw the trees
with their soon to be orange leaves
and i wished for her
to sit beside me
more often.
