The Maid

Chapter Two

My alarm goes off at exactly 6:30 a.m. and I quickly get up and press the stop button. I go to my closet and pick out a decent outfit to wear, then go to the bathroom. I change clothes, brush my teeth, and throw my hair in a bun. I put on my old white crocs and leave the bathroom then go downstairs to the kitchen.

I wasn't sure what everyone liked, so I made a list in my neatest handwriting. On the drinks side, I wrote coffee, orange juice, and water. On the food side, I wrote cereal, eggs+bacon, and pancakes. I was gonna go to everyone and see what they liked most, then fix it for them. I went to Mr and Mrs.Ciallo's room first. I knocked on the door and Mrs.Ciallo opened it. "Sorry to wake you so early, but I wasn't sure what everyone liked for breakfast. Could you write your name beside what you would like to eat and drink?" I said handing the notebook to Mrs.Ciallo. I felt kind of like a waiter, and there was a really awkward silence. She gave me the notebook back and said, "I went ahead and put what everyone liked, that way you don't have to run around and you won't have to deal with all of their morning attitudes" I smiled at her and thanked her before walking back to the kitchen.

I finish fixing everyone's food and go to wake up Xsiyah and Janneson. I knock on Xsiyah's door first "Who is it?" I look over to the bed of the hallway and hesitate before saying, "It's uh, it's Kyrah. Your breakfast is ready." She opens the door and I look at her finding a big grin on her face. "I'll be down in two minutes" I looked down and that when I see it- she is in a thong and a little bikini type bra. Girl, your boobs are too big for that. They're about to come pouring out. And the thong? Don't get me started. It looks like it's dying from the smell of fish. My inner voice says and I can't help but laugh. "What are you laughing at?" She says shutting the door. I walk downstairs to Janneson's room. I knock on the door and he cracks it open. "Yeah what's up. I'm busy" I could only see half of his face and his body was hidden behind the door. "Uh, breakfast is ready. It's on the table" he shuts the door and I hear him laughing.

I was eating my sandwich when everyone finally came to the kitchen. "Thanks for breakfast Kyrah" Xsiyah says as she sits down. I wash my hands and walk upstairs, avoiding the awkwardness of this family. I look at the big white board that they have in the hallway. They put my cleaning list on it, and any important dates I need to know about. It's basically the maids daily routine or something. I check off the make breakfast box and look at what is next. I have to clean the kitchen, but I cleaned it last night so I'm just gonna not. My next task is to sweep the hallway and living room.

I finally finish sweeping it all, and it actually looks pretty good. It took forever though. I go and mark it off the board, now I have 30 minutes to relax. I go and lay in my bed, then pulled out my phone and click on Pinterest. I scroll there for a while before falling asleep.

I wake up really late. I was supposed to get up two hours ago. I have so much stuff to do! What if Mr and Mrs.C noticed I was asleep and took it out of my pay, or added more to my to-do list?! Ugh. I need to fix my sleeping schedule. I get up and basically burst out of my room, then go and look at the board. They didn't add anything, thank god. I read over the board and see that I only have to clean the bathroom. Oh well, I can do that tomorrow. It's getting late anyway, so I'll just go get ready for bed. I go and brush my teeth and wash my face, then get in bed. I lay there for hours scrolling through Pinterest. It's not good for me but it's really all I wanna do when I can't sleep.
