y/n's pov

"ALEX WARREN STOP IT NOW " i shrieked as he chased me through his yard with a blowtorch. "THIS IS LITERALLY ILLEGAL IN SO MANY WAYS" i said as i stopped running. "tatum why are you friends with him" kouvr  said putting the camera in my face. "too steal all of his subscribers when i start uploading on my brand new youtube channel" i said getting hyped up

"that's right guys! you heard it here, after you guys begging and begging y/n has finally set up her own youtube account, the link to her channel is down below so go subscribe but also stay subscribed to me so i can keep making funny ass videos like this one stay tuned because i have a  very special guest coming to the house very soon okay bye guys" alex smiled to the camera.

"thanks for the free promo alex" i said as i sat on his couch and started scrolling through instagram, "oh wait i meant to ask you earlier whose your special guest?" i said putting my chin on alex's shoulder. he looked down at me and shrugged "are you kidding me?" i said getting up

"my best friend kouvr  will tell me" i said walking over to kouvr and putting my arm around her, "no can do y/n sworn to secrecy" she laughed. i glared at her and unwrapped my arm from around her "we aint besties anymore" i said as i went back to my original seat. "i'll give you a hint it's s guy  who you really love" david said smiling. "its gonna be more of a "suprising y/n video than a vlog" alex added.

"oh my god is it machine gun kelly and megan fox" i screamed, based off alex's face i knew i was wrong. "alright well i gotta go back to my mom's place i'll see you around" i said hugging my friends goodbye. "how is your mom anyways" alex asked.

i gave him a small smile "surviving i guess, she's definitely had better days but she's okay" i said solemnly. alex set me a sympathetic look and hugged me. my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 leukemia about 3 year's ago, another really big part of why i never had my own channel. nobody really knows except for a few close friends and family, in my eyes there's not really a reason to tell the whole world "hey guys my moms been slowly dying in agony for 3 years now."

my mom's my best friend as corny as it sounds, all we had was each other until we moved out to LA for her treatment, we're actually from a small town in ohio. LA has better doctors than ohio hence the move, that's actually how i met alex.

i was working a shift at starbucks to make some extra money for my moms treatment when alex did one of his vlogs where he gave random people large amounts of money to help bring there dreams to reality. unfortunately alex couldn't cure my mothers cancer but his friendship meant more to me than anything.

i pulled into my driveway and walked inside, my mom was on the couch struggling to eat "mom let me help you" i said rushing over to her "im okay don't worry-" she said with a harsh cough cutting her off. "you should've called me i would've been here in a minute to help you" i said helping feed her.

"i don't want you to keep dropping everything for me y/n" she said stroking my hair and pushing her plate away. "you're my mom im supposed too, anyways how was your doctors appointment" i smiled sympathetically  "y/n sit down" she said stroking my leg

"baby, you know how hard the chemo and everything has been on me"

no. she can't be saying what i think she is. right?

"the chemo isn't really helping as much as the doctors thought it would, and well tatum  i'm dying anyways. my doctors and i decided to stop doing the chemo and just let me live the rest of my life out at home" she said not once breaking eye contact.
