Normal POV

Mom Nona who is now Grandma Nona, was preparing the house because it hasn't been cleaned for weeks. I mean taking care of a pregnant woman in her later stages is not an easy task! Especially for a lady in her fifties to be the caretaker of a pregnant woman.

The local physician had guessed that Samantha would be giving birth that week and it hasn't been a smooth ride ever since. Every now and then the baby would kick Samantha's belly so hard, Nona feared that Sam's belly would rip open!
In addition, they were in suspense of the gender of the baby. You see, the clinic in Enchi had poor facilities.... Thus, most people just guessed the gender of a baby by how it kicks(the intensity). Nona told Sam about how much she bets that the baby is a boy.

"Aaaahhhhhhhh Nooooonaaaaaaaa!!!!!"

"What is it Sam?!!!"

"My water just broke....Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!"

"Oh my God I'm coming... Hold on for a while"

"Ahh.....like I have a choice!! Ahhh"
That last statement came out rather harshly.

"Come, lemme hold you up. There there, it's going to be okay." Grandma helped her daughter up and they gradually paced to the palace which by the way was not so close.
When they got to the palace they were ushered to the clinic.

After a few hours, there was a loud,"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
Then a soft cry came from the ward. You know what that means don't you?
[We ladies need to prepare for this inevitable crucial moment in our lives! A bit scary, but we just can't avoid it... even the guys need to prepare, cause that day, you're gonna be under a whole lot of pressure🤷]

NONA's POV

I just can't help but be anxious. What will happen to my daughter and grandchild? *Sigh*...
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH"

Oh no.... What is going on in there??!!!

"Waaaaaaa"

*Gasp* could that be my grandson?

The nurse walked in signaling us - the King and I,to go in.
When we went in, we stood there and as the nurse removed the thick curtain that hid my only family.

"It's an honor to be the godfather of this child. He really looks so charming!" the King said.
"I'm sorry your highness but the baby is a girl" the nurse corrected.
"It's A She!!" The King and I said in unison.
"Y-es" the nurse said looking rather confused.
"Nona come in and see your granddaughter" Samantha signalled me, "And y-your Highness, you can also come in i-if you wish to..." I heard her say after realizing that she had a guest.

After what seemed to be like forever, I finally broke the silence. "So what name shall we give to hi...her?"
"Since her father will not be apart of the girl's life, and she will know only a few things about Eugene, her last name will be ..... Little" the King said.

But... urr, what kind of a name is that? Hmm, oh well, only he will know why that name was given to the girl. Now it's my turn.

"Her last name being ... Little, I give her a first name of [bet y'all can already guess it🤭] Naomi."

I feel good about myself, the name sounds cute and charming... just like her petite frame. Though I was really expecting a boy (cause I never had one), I'm still glad that this little bundle of joy came out instead. Can't wait to do all sorts of crazy grandma stuff with her! Finally, the happiness I wanted is her..... I hope.

★Why do you think the King gave her the surname 'Little'?
Well the truth is I wanted a surname starting with "L" but I couldn't come up with any better than Little. I know, that sounds crazy but just go with it🙂.

The full name of Naomi is,"Naomi Reneil  Little".
