Back Then - Chapter Five

Jades P.O.V.

Its been two and a half weeks since my incident with Rick. He text me numerous times. Threatening me. Hes called me leaving nasty voicemails. But non if it is going to make me go back. Louis said we can stay till whenever. He doesn't mind. He says Drew is like a little brother he never had. As for Harry Liam Niall and Zayn, they have stayed at Louis with us. It has been... Eventful.. But fun at the same time. They have helped me out a lot which I am very grateful for.

I am currently on my way to work at The Living Safari. I love working there. Well except for the spiders. When they need to be fed I'm always the one having to do it. My co-worker Kyle thinks its halarious how I almost throw up. Me on the other hand, feels like crying. I hate spiders so much its not even funny. My favorite part about work is the ferrets. There's four; one white, three brown/black. My favorite one is the biggest brown/black one. Hes always jumping around and whenever I feed them or just stand and watch them hes always trying to get out of the cage. If I could afford him I would buy him. But I'm only getting enough to feed me and Drew and buy a few other things here and there.

I'm surprised Rick hasn't turned off my phone. I honestly don't get why he hasn't. But I'm not complaining. I don't think I could live without my phone.

I was pulled from my thoughts when I stopped in front of The Living Safari. I opened the door and the bell went off. Kyle looked up and smiled

"Guess who needs to be fed." He says amusement twinkling in his eyes.

"Guess who doesn't care." I say putting my bag on a shelf below the counter.

"But they will die if you don't feed them. I mean come on. At least feed Frank."

"Good they don't deserve to be alive. And you named a spider.?" I asked pulling my hair in a ponytail and walking to get the ferret food.

"Oh. So you can name a ferret but I cant name a spider.?" He asks putting 'Franks' small tank back on a shelf.

"Nope." I say popping the 'p'. I heard Kyle huff and I smile in victory. I open the ferrets cages and instantly Dude (my favorite ferret) jumps in excitement. I smile and pet him. Yeah having a ferret is a weird pet and they stink, but if you take good care of them, they don't stink too bad. I grab the food bowl and pour their food in it. I grab a handful and hold it out for Dude. He sniffs the food before eating.

"Ow. You're not supposed to bite me." I say dumping the rest of the food in the bowl.

"That's my job." I jump when I hear a familiar voice. I stand up and turn around to see his gorgeous blue eyes.

"Louis. What are you doing here.?" I ask hugging him.

"Cant a guy come and see his girlfriend.?" He asks kissing my lightly on the lips. I smile and realize I didn't close the cage.

"Shit.!" I shout and turn around to see only two ferrets in the cage.

"Dude and Ferret are gone.!" I say looking around. I see Ferret running towards a ball on the shelf and Dude follows not far behind.

"You named a ferret Ferret.?" Lou asks.

I ignore his comment and run towards Dude and Ferret. I crouch down and make a clicking noise which makes Dude turn around. He makes his way towards me and I reach out to grab him but he darts to the left.

"Way to go dipshit." I hear Kyle say.

"Go Fuck a cactus Kyle." I say and stand up giving him the finger. He gasps and clutches his heart. "Sassy.!" He says before 'fainting'. I roll my eyes and turn to Louis who's got a smile on like he enjoying me chase after two ferrets.
