They'd been walking for at least an hour. Maybe even more. Most of it shared in silence. The thought of Teekl possibly not returning to the raven-haired Witchboy's side must've hit harder than Diana'd anticipated at first. She'd to admit, it was painful losing someone close but despite the fact that she and the Justice League barely knew anything about Klarion, she did understand how he must be feeling.

At least Diana knew the correct paths to take. It would've taken Klarion hours to even find his way halfway through this wicked maze. "𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰'𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘈𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴." Diana said as she took a turn to the left. Klarion seemed to have more issues with the thought of working together with a hero.
Diana also had to admit that she would've preferred a diffirent ally. There could've been a worse match though, right? Klarion was unpredictable and impulsive. Not to mention the quick and explosive tantrums the blue-skinned Witch could suddenly cast. Yet, she was about to take on Circe. A half-goddess and witch. It was actually rather convenient that the boy'd shown up.
"𝘖𝘩 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘩 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘦." Annoyance was radiating off that entire sentence. In the way it'd been said and in the way Klarion'd rolled with his eyes. "𝘉𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘺𝘦𝘵?" He asked with a frown as he kept a ball of blue light in the palm of his hand to light the path ahead.
That.. was a really good point. Yes there were several troops of Amazons guarding Trigon's prison, for trespassers and unwanted demons, they should be here. Diana stopped walking right after Klarion'd shared his thoughts. He was right. Prince looked around. Instead of focusing on the path, she now turned to look for her comrades.
"𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵?" Klarion also quit in his steps, eyes moving back to Diana's. "....𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵." The Witchboy quirked an eyebrow at the rudeness of the request but did what she'd asked him to do and expanded the intensity of the bulb.
Upon doing so, ruffled noises were heard. As if something or someone was trying to hide from the light. Diana drew her sword instantly, trying to spot the source of sound. Attempting to spot the hidden danger or possible danger. They had no Idea what was out there. Klarion moved the light above the both of him and the Amazon, making it float there so he could use the both of his hands to send out an attack if needed.
After what seemed minutes, Diana broke the silence. "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺'𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵." She lowered her sword, looking back at the smaller person next to her. He quirked an eyebrow, taking in a less tensed position. "𝘞𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘢𝘴. 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦." "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?"
Klarion huffed, recapturing the floating light and lowering its brightness. If less light would mean less attention, then it would be worth the change. "𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭, 𝘐'𝘮 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘈𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵." He said before noticing that Diana'd resumed walking. He quickly caught up to her and held the bulb in front of them once more.
Before he was able to continue his way, he cruelly got yanked aside out of nowhere. He was met with the ground, pinned nontheless and somewhat in shock. He groaned painfully and opened his eyes, finding two tiny pitchblack ones.
Within seconds those same eyes were gone. A loud, metallic thud echoed throughout the halls of the maze. The Witchboy blinked, now looking directly at Diana. He recognized a glimpse of red on the shield. Dirtying its fierce material. "𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?" She asked, holding out a hand. The black haired boy simply narrowed his eyes at her gesture. "𝘐'𝘮 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦. 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥'𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧." He got up and dusted himself off. "..𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦." There was a silence when the both of them turned towards the black eyed beast. It was quite big. Taller than Diana. About double the size of Klarion. It actually looked like a very big swine.. just .. which could walk and fight.. and had armor.
"... .. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴." "𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵?" Diana walked over to the beast. "𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴.. 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘩𝘴. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘶𝘵𝘺." She turned to look at Klarion. "𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵, 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩?" Honestly, there were a lot of things Klarion could do with his magic. Things people would see as impossible. Perhaps he could even do such a thing as changing this creature back into their original form. But Circe would know they were here. Maybe she already knew it but it was a risk he didn't wish to take. "𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩'𝘣𝘰𝘺', 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘺, 𝘯𝘰, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵." He said and recaptured the orb.
From the corner of his eye he spotted something. It moved too quickly for him to recognize any form but his reaction would've been the same nontheless. The orb he'd been holding rapidly turned itself into a bright beam, firing itself directly at a darkness-covered spot. Diana spun around, once again drawing her shield. In pure reflex she caught an upcoming claw. A lion-looking creature'd thrown itself at the female. Loud screeching was heard as its nails attempted on carving through it. But the shield kept Diana's body protected long enough for her to pull back her arm. With cruel force she launched it forwards, sending the bestiamorph right into a wall.
The Amazon looked back over at Klarion who was clearly about to lose his shit on the blood-thirsty creatures. "𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮! 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴!" She shouted, ducking just in time to dodge an attack. The Witchboy made a breathy noise, covering himself with a shield as he spoke. "𝘛𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮!!" He hissed back. The used protection shattered into red pieces of glass-looking magic that got send at the targetted attackers. They penetrated the sides of their armor with such speed and force that some of the beings got pinned against the walls and floor.
To this, Diana was quite relieved. She didn't assume Klarion would even consider listening to her. But she was glad that he wasn't disobeying to her wishes. Maybe he could do better than she'd pictured all this time. It was a strange thought but the Amazon now saw a side of him she'd never seen before.
"𝒦𝒸ℴ𝓁 𝓂ℯ𝒽𝓉 𝓅𝓊." He snarled backwards. Red flames sparked off his hands resulting in cages that appeared around some. Diana tossed one of them aside, throwing punch after punch at her changed sisters. "𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦?!" The Witchboy practically yelled over the sounds of growling and howling. The Amazon threw her lasso around a number of them, swinging them out of her way. "𝘛𝘰𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺!"
She jumped forwards, shield colliding with one of the bestiamorhps. Right in the stomach. A combination of spit and blood gargled deep down its throath as it collapsed on the stone floor. "𝘞𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦!!" Diana yelled back. Her movement increased with Incredible speed as she sprinted aside. Shield covering her front. Klarion looked over, quirking an eyebrow as he watched the bestiamorhps fall over. He then turned around, vanishing in a cloud of blue smoke right before a terriyingly huge claw shot down at him.
He popped up right behind Diana and followed her, often having to dodge the raging creatures. It would be so much easier if he could just kill them, he thought. Now they'll just get back up once regained conciousness.
They both continued their escape while Klarion shot down the ones coming from behind with a variation of magical attacks while Diana kept their path clean. That until they arrived at a two-sided road. "𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺." He asked with a forced grin, looking over at Diana who didn't share the same attitude. No, she actually didn't seem to be sure of this one. The past few minutes, hours, she'd known the way, but this.. this hadn't been here before. At least not that she knew of.
A look of disgust crossed over Klarion's face upon noticing the doubt in her expression. His nose wrinkled and his grin twisted into a grimace as he shook his head. "𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘳𝘣." Diana commanded in haste. Klarion didn't seem to appreciate the sudden anger pointed at him. "𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘌𝘝𝘌𝘙, 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰." He said with venom in his voice. Diana shook her head, not in the need to make a fight while they were already mid one. "𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘵." Before awaiting an answer she'd started running again.
In pure annoyance and haste he quickly created a red-glowing light. It wasn't as bright as the previous one he'd made but it would do as a distraction. It flew right past him, into the other tunnel. He immediately took off as well.
The creatures were caught off guard. They had no idea the light'd been a distraction for the Witchboy and the Amazon to escape. Now they'll have to tell Circe they'd failed. This wouldn't turn out well for anyone. The female witch would soon gain the power of Trigon and the Seven Sins. She'll start a war. No one, not even those pesty little rats running through that hellish maze could withold her from achieving that.
It was a cat-and-mouse game she'd win, because this pathetic attempt of a prison riot?
She was ending it once and for all.
