Beep... Beep... Beep...

You reach over to snooze the alarm coming from your phone.

You: Ugh...

It has been a few months since you moved from Los Angeles, and now you are going to spend high school in South Korea.

You get up from your bed to grab your school clothes to change in your bathroom.

When you walk into the kitchen, you find your mom cooking breakfast and your dad reading the newspaper

When you walk into the kitchen, you find your mom cooking breakfast and your dad reading the newspaper. Both of them were in their work uniform.

Mom: Morning, sweetie.

You: Morning, Mom and Dad.

Dad: So, are you ready to become a freshman?

You: I prefer being a freshman in Los Angeles.

Mom: Y/N, I know how much you miss living there, but you know our work made us move.

She sets down a plate of pancakes.

Mom: Now, hurry up and eat so we can bring you to school.

You: Ne!

...

A short drive later...

You arrive at the school's parking lot.

You look out of your window to see students walking through the gate, getting dropped off by their parents or sibling.

You: (I hope I'll make new friends here.)

Dad: Be good at school, Y/N.

Mom: Are you going to be okay walking home?

You: I studied on the Maps app, so I'll be okay.

Your mom unlocks the door on your side before opening it.

Dad: We love you, Y/N.

Mom: Be good at school.

You: I will. I love you both.

You watch as your parents' car drives away, heading to their work. As for you, you start making your way onto the campus as you put on your earbuds to listen to music.

You: (Music should make my nerves go away.)

You pull out your phone to check your schedule.

You: (Room 212. Math.)

You switch over to your Photos app, looking at the picture of the school map.

You: (Gosh, this map is so confusing.)

???: Excuse me?

You look up to see a student standing in front of you, causing you to remove your earbuds.
