#BCD13 Chapter Thirteen

KAHIT BASA SA ulan ay patuloy pa ring tinahak ni Artemis ang mahabang hallway ng St. Luke's para lang makarating sa nurse station. Her hands were shaking as she waited for the nurse to gave her Nova's room number.

Justice didn't called her again after his first emergency call. Hindi niya alam kung ano ang nangyari sa kaibigan bukod sa sinabi ng binatang nahimatay ito. That's why she was shaking with worry.

Lord... Please take good care of Nova.

Nang sabihin ng nars ang room number ng kaibigan ay agad din siyang sumakay ng elevator at pinuntahan iyon. She ran across the hallways until she reached Nova's room.

Walang sabi-sabi siyang pumasok at doon naabutan si Justice na nakayuko sa gilid ng hospital bed na hinihigaan ni Nova. Worry filled her face as she stared at her bestfriend who was lying on the bed with her eyes closed.

"Nova..." mahinang tawag niya sa pangalan nito at unti-unting nilapitan ang dalaga.

Nova opened her eyes slowly. Her weak smile flashed on her lips when their eyes met. Artemis cursed when she saw her bestfriend's face. There was a small gauze on the side of her forehead.

"What happened to you?" nag-aalalang tanong niya bago ito nilapitan. "You were just okay when I left your house."

"And I'm still fine," mahinang sambit ng dalaga. "I just fell from the stairs when I lost my balance."

Napalingon sila kay Justice nang bahagyang itong gumalaw. Inangat nito ang ulo nang tuluyang magising at saktong napatingin ito sa kaniya.

Relieved washed through his face when he saw her standing beside Nova's bed. Sinuklay ni Justice ang buhok at saka tumayo.

"Thank you for coming," Justice said.

"Thank you for calling me." Tumingin siyang muli kay Nova. "Nag-alala ako nang sobra noong tumawag si Justice at sinabing nandito ka sa ospital."

Bahagyang umiling si Nova. "I'm fine, really. Nahilo lang ako kaya nawalan ng balanse."

"What does the doctor say?" baling niya kay Justice.

"She's fine. It's just an over fatigue." Justice darted his eyes on his fiancé. "Nasobrahan sa pagpupuyat."

"You're letting me stay up late." Nova grinned at Justice, making Artemis shake her head.

"You should save your energy for the next couple of weeks. Kakailanganin na namin kayong dalawa ni Justice para sa preparations," she said. "And, oh, you also need to prepare for your gown."

Nova let out a soft gasped. Excited itong ngumiti. "Oo nga pala! I want my gown to be prepared by Tita Xhyraine. Would that be okay?"

"I'll talk to her about that and set you for a schedule." Hinawakan niya ang kamay ng dalaga. "Pero ngayon, magpahinga ka muna. And make sure you are a hundred and ten percent healthy before helping us in preparing for your wedding."

"I will," Nova replied with a smile.

Tumingin siya kay Justice. "Bantayan mo 'tong babaeng 'to. And don't let her stay up late just watching K-dramas!"

"Hey! K-dramas are my life, Art. Pinatigil na nga ako ni Mommy sa pagpunta sa opisina dahil daw kailangan ko kayong subaybayan about the preparations. Wala na akong past time!" angal ni Nova.

"You can visit Justice in his work, you know." Tumingin siya kay Justice. He was smiling at Nova while shaking his head.

"Wala siyang gagawin doon kundi guluhin kami ni Apollo. So, I won't agree with that," Justice spoke.
