Tanjiro's POV

My death was certain. My life would end right here, because of me being ignorant and not listening to my loved ones. I just wish I could say goodbye. As the tentacle was about to stab me there was a loud flash. Then I saw him. Giyuu right in front of me being stabbed by a tentacle right in the heart. It was... mortifying, my loved one right in front of me dead because of my stupid mistake. Then I heard more screams. All of them on the ground sliced, stabbed, pierced, all by tentacles. Why?

Wh- "Tanjiro," Giyuu? Thats his voice, as I looked on the ground I saw Giyuu stabbed through the heart, bleeding profusely. He would die any second. I rushed to him holding his head in my lap trying to sooth him. "It will be ok. You'll get better. We'll all live on." My voice shaking tears welling up in my face. "Tanjiro, this isnt your fault." He says reaching up and wiping a tear off my cheek. "I.. Love you Tanjiro Kamado" That was his last words. His last breaths. His last "I love you". "I.... love you too." I said tears streaming down my face onto his lifeless body. I knew he couldnt hear me anymore. 

Narrator POV

Tanjiro Stood up, tears still streaming down his face onto the ground. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" He screamed rushing straight into the tentacles. "HINOKAMI KAGURA DANCE!" He screamed unleashing his new form on the tentacles. He was fully going all out using every technique he knew on the tentacles. After mere minutes of fighting the tentacles were obviously worn out but Tanjiro wasnt. His power was lessening as time went on, in fact it rose the more time went on. Tanjiro suddenly dashed straight through all the tentacles unleashing one final attack on the finger. The attack that would end it all.

"Water breathing first form: Water Surface Slash."

With that final attack the finger fully disintergrated. Tanjiro stood there for a good minute as the last demons were dying. Then he walked over to his lovers dead bodies and broke down crying. "WHY!? DONT LEAVE ME PLEASE! ITS TOO SOON! DONT GO! Please.." Right in the middle of Tanjiro mourning the loss of his lovers the cave started to rumble. The finger was connected to the cave stability so when It dissapeared the cave would fall. Tanjiro didnt move though he continued mourning until finally Inosuke grabbed him by the collar and they ran out.

Time Skip 1 Week Later

Tanjiro was locked up in his room, his foot still broken probably for life. It was a constant reminder of his mistake. He was wearing a traditional haori for sad occasions, He was mourning still. He could never get over it just try to calm it. He bowed to the shrine in the room he was in then Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu comes into the room. "Onii-chan its starting," Was all Nezuko said. Tanjiro bowed for the last time and walked out of the room with his friends.
