Yu Yan's POV.

I woke up the next morning with my head pounding a lot. Not remembering what actually happened yesterday, I tried to stand up without throwing up. I was walking like a zombie to the bathroom to wash myself a bit. Staring at my reflection at the mirror, my lost memories suddenly started to show in my mind. Keni and I kissed... Not really knowing what I should do and not really regretting it either, my hand picked up a toothbrush and did its thing.

As I was done I went to check on Keni, because her condition was worse than mine. I opened to her dark room quietly and I saw the girl still sound asleep. Not wanting to disturb her, I prepared some hangover medicine with a glass of water and placed it on her bed stand.

I lied down on the couch and though about what would happen now. Hearing a loud groan coming from the tall girls' room, I knew that she had woken up. Keni suddenly ran past me, slamming the bathroom door shut and probably throwing out all the alcohol that she drank last night. Worrying about my landlord, I went to her slowly and knocked on the door, "Keni? Are you okay? Do you need any help?"

"Yeah, just don't go in here please." She answered me groggily, probably not wanting me to see her in this state.

My body slid down against a wall as I waited for her to come out. Running water could be heard from the opposite side of the doors and I knew that she was taking a shower to sober up. Still waiting there patiently, the tall girl opened the door after a few minutes and steeped inside the living room, wrapped only in her navy towel. "Good morning Yanzi... Why are you on the ground?" She chuckled as she gave me her hand to help me stand up.

"I wasn't sure if you would need anything, you were a total mess you know." I laughed as I stared into her eyes, "About yesterday..."

Tilting her head to the side, looking all confused as she met my eyes, "Did something happen yesterday? The last thing remember is you helping me out of the bathroom at the bar... Did I act whiny? Did something wrong happened? If yes, then I'm sorry Yan. Please forgive me!" Keni pleaded with pouty lips and one eye closed.

I gave her a soft smile as my hand brushed off some of her hair in her face, "Not exactly but I had to bring you all the way home on my back. Just promise me you won't drink that much again when I'm not around, okay?"

"Okay," she nodded, "I promise." She said while hugging me tightly, before running to the bathroom again, to get rid of the rest of the alcohol.

"I put some medicine on your bed stand." I yelled at her as I was putting on my jacket and went out to catch some fresh air.

Walking around the neighborhood with my hands in the pockets and bitter feeling in my chest. I shouldn't be overthinking things. – I said to myself, knowing it would made me feel even worse. The affection that I felt for Keni wasn't love and I was sure about that, still I ached for her.

"Hey Yan!"

I turned my head around to see who called me, chuckling at the dork in front of me. "Sunrui, how are you feeling?"

"I'm okay, what about you and Keni? She was totally wasted."

"We are pretty okay... Where are you going?" I asked her, walking by her side.

Sunrui huffed with annoyance, "My boss asked me to come to work today, because my colleague is not feeling well."

"They probably drank yesterday too."
