Suddenly, my bedroom door opened slowly.

"Sis, are you free tonight?"

"Yup, why?"

"I want to watch this horror movie but I'm scared to watch it alone, so do you want to join me downstairs?"

"Okay sure, I'll be right there."

This kid never watches horror but when there is someone she likes in it, she will.

I am the opposite, I love horrors.

I'm very sure if the movie is 2 hours long, her eyes will be watching the TV for only less than an hour. The rest is either hiding behind me, covering her whole face with a pillow or just hiding in a blanket.

I took my pillow, phone, and some snacks from my snack container under the bed.

Walked down the stairs, seeing Mom getting ready to head somewhere.

Mom came walking towards me and asked, "How do I look?"

"Gorgeous, Mom. But where are you going?"

"A company dinner and I think I'll be home late so you girls take care."

"Okay Mom, have fun!"

She heads out the door and I walked to the sofa where Dianne is sitting.

The movie started and expectedly, her head was already behind my back.

Halfway through, Dianne stopped the movie.

"Sis, what about some ramen? Mom's not home."

We both looked at each other with a smirk on our faces and got up and started making our bowls of noodles.

Sat back down but this time we sat on the floor to eat the noodles that were put on a low coffee table.

We ate, ate, and ate.

That time when Hee and I ate at the riverside park flashed through my mind.

And that made me wonder.

He cried so much that day and became a very different person just after a few days.

Is he really okay now?
