"It doesn't make sense.. her pulse is good, brain activity is normal. The genetic reading is taking it's time getting back to me.. other than that she seems in perfect condition." Bruce Banner told the group. They all stood around an unconscious red head, to two of the members she seemed oddly familiar but to the rest was a mystery.

"Well, that can't be right." Steve Rogers furrowed his brows. His arms crossed in his signature stance as he listened to his friend and colleague. "We watched her fall from the sky, run the tests again. Call us in if you find anything."

"Yeah, ok."

"Guys, you're missing the big picture here." Natasha Romanoff said in a monotone voice. "The bright purple veins sprouting from her face. You don't see those in your average human."

"Purple veins?" Bruce muttered to himself, turning around to look at his current patient. Those weren't there before.

"Yes, and the floating hair. That's a weird sign as well." Wanda Maximoff added on to Natasha's statement.

"Cap-sicles right, we'll run some more tests together." Tony Stark finally spoke up. He shooed the reluctant group of superhero's out if the lab as the "science bro" got to work.

The two stayed silent for a few minutes before Bruce got a ping on his computer, the ping for the genetic reading. "Woah.. i've never seen a power reading like this.. she's literally off the charts."

Metal clanging to the floor sounded throughout the room making the two scientists spin on their heel. The unconscious red head was now sitting upright, rubbing her head with her previously restricted hand.

She looked up from her hands and glanced around the room while still not noticing the two, slightly scared, men in the other corner. She slid off the metal table and looked around the lab until Tony cleared his throat.

The red head spun around, sending a scalpel towards the man but making it stop just before it could stab either of his eyes.

"Who are you?" She spat, the veins on her face growing slightly brighter. Tony shooed Bruce back, silently telling him to alert the others.

Just as Bruce sent out the message, the red head noticed his presence. She reached her hand out in a gripping motion, and though she wasn't physically touching him, she hauled Bruce off the floor by his throat.

Only his toes touched ground. "I said, Who are you?"

Jesus.. christ. She heard Bruce think.

"We're the ones who saved your life. Mind letting us go now, crazy lady."

"Tony.." Bruce warned.

The door the the lab pulled open, Steve, Natasha, Wanda, Clint Barton and Thor charged in.

Wanda had her hands glowing red, Clint and Natasha had their bow and gun, Steve had his shield and Thor wielded his hammer but quickly lowered it with a chuckle.

"It's just a lady, everybody stand down. She can't harm us." He told the others, not noticing Tony and Bruce in the "lady's" hold.

At his statement, the red head moved her arm from Bruce's direction and used it to throw Thor backwards and through the wall behind him.

Though her attention was focused on Thor, Bruce and Tony were still trapped under her power.

Thor's groaning was audible from the other side of the tore down wall but no one cared. Everyone went on high alert at the sudden movement.

Steve mumbled something to Wanda, making her step forward and lower her hands. "Release my friends." The red head stayed silent as she could feel Wanda trying to get into her head. "I can't see inside her head.. somethings blocking me."

"Can you get her to drop Tony and Bruce?" Steve asked as if the girl wasn't there. Wanda continued trying to read the girls mind but the the block was to strong for her to penetrate.

The girl, unbeknownst to Wanda, was reading her mind. It was inviting. She saw her past and her relationship with the others in this room. The girl saw that Wanda and her friends were the good guys. The ones who wanted to help.

But she didn't let go of the two scientists, she just Wanda in.

"I can try but.." Wanda quickly fell silent. The girls mind was full of corruption and black magic. Just like the girl saw in Wanda's mind, she saw her past. When she was in the crash as a young girl, going to live with Charles Xavier, becoming apart of the X-Men. "She's scared- no.. confused." Wanda said then quickly corrected. The girl looked over at the scientists.

Wanda glanced at her friends then back at the girl. "Jean? Jean Grey, correct?" Jean looked back at Wanda at her name. "We only want to help.. let my friends down and we can all talk-"

"No. Just you." Jean said urgently.

"Ok, just me. It'll just be me." Wanda gave her a sweet smile. Jean looked from her to around the room. Bruce was trying to touch ground but his legs were to short to reach, Tony was looking back at Jean as if he was trying to figure out where she was from, Natasha Clint and Steve were watching the interaction with weapons down and Thor was just now entering the room once more.

She sighed before letting Bruce fall on his butt and the scalpel from the it's position near Tony's eye.

Wanda looked at her friends and shooed them away, they reluctantly left. Bruce looking back at her like she just stole his fruit loops.
