Hold on

Chapter 2

The ambulance arrived and Jay knew if he'd drive with them the whole unit would know that Erin is in Chicago but he also knew that she doesn't want that anyone knew she's there. He took her phone before the ambulance drove off and went back to his car. He was afraid to lose Erin .
After he found the adress on her phone he drove off.

A few hours later Jay arrived at Erins apartment and he knocked at the door.
A little girl opened the door . He could have sworn on his life that he had seen those incredible pretty brown eyes before. The girl looked like an exact photocopy of Erin.Same brown hairs, same skin tone and the same pretty brown eyes which everyone could get lost in.
"What do you want?" The girl asked with a sweet voice. "Is your mom here?" He wanted to know already knowing she's not. "No,she said she has to go to help a friend and to see her boyfriend again, Jay." ,she answered ," Jay is my dad , Mommy wanted to tell him" added the girl .

Damn Erin!Why you didn't say it earlier? He thought. "Can i come in?" He asked
"Sure, I'm Torrey, and you?" She smiled "I'm your moms friend, she told me i should come here." He answered and an other girl entered the room. "Damn Torrey!I told you so many times that you're not allowed to let anyone in!" She yelled at her "But he's mommys friend" Torrey answered and started crying. "So you're a friend of Erin?Whats your name then?"This girl asked sospicious . "Jay" he answered

After Jay had a long conversation with Kate he went back to his car.
He took his phone and saw all the missed calls from his brother Will.He listened to a voicemail he sent him. Jay where in hell are you?! Erin is ok, she made it. I hope you're here before she wakes up. By the way Kim is here and she knows Erin is here too. She's not telling the others if you're back soon ok

"Where in hell have you been?" Kim asked him as he walked into MED. "Jay I'm asking you a question" she demanded. "It's hard to explain Kim ok, i just need to see her. Where is she? Is she awake?" Jay wanted to know. She's in ICU and she's not awake . It was really bad in there . She lost a lot of blood..and she almost..almost didn't make it..But like you know her,she's a fighter,she didn't give up. I just hate it so much that I-we didn't see her for so long ..and we end up here. I really missed Erin.."Kim said . She walked up to Jay and hugged him.He awkwardly held her tight and rubbed her back. "She's going to be fine,and you know Erin, if she finds out we cried for her she'll get pissed. I'll go and look for her" Jay replied

Jay walked down the main corridor and followed the signs until he go to ICU. There was a receptionist guarding the entrance to the doors. "Can i help you?" She asked Jay. "Yeah I'm looking for for Erin Lindsays room" Jay replied "The intensive care unit is just for family members ,are you a family member?" "Um yes I'm her-"  "He's her boyfriend let him go to her" Will interrupted. "Alright he can go in. Only two at the time though " the woman replied. Jay was really grateful ,all he wanted is to go is this damn room and see Erin.  "Come on Jay, I'll take you to her" Will explained as he grabbed onto Jays shoulder, guiding him to the doors. Once the receptionist was out of sight Will spoke. "Where in hell have you been Jay?? She needs you now. Now go to her and don't leave until she woke up!" He said with a harsh voice and left Jay there in front of the room. Jay looked doubtful be he walked over towards the edge of Erins bed. Awkwardly he reached out for her hand . Her hand was still slightly cold. The touch was awkward for him, but it give him some hope. Hope for what would come after she woke up. Jay looked at her , the peaceful facade she had. Last time they've seen each other he yelled at her . He wished ge could go back and answeres differently . "How could you do this?why did you lie to me? I trusted you and i loved you. I love you" he whispered and a tear rolled down his right cheek and landed on the horrible faded blue hospital gown he knew she'd hate .

Jay left the Med as the visitor time was over . He drove again to Erins apartment and knocked at the door . Kate opened the door. "You're here again. How is Erin?" She wanted to know "I guess she's ok" he answered while Torrey ran towards Jay . "Daddy!" She said and wrapped her small arms around Jay's right leg. Jay saw Kate's innocent smile. "Sorry,she didn't stop asking " she explained "you might want to be alone with her" she added and went outside.
He and Torrey went to the living room. Erin was still a mess. "Mommy is always talking about you" Torrey broke the silence while she climbed on the couch . "And what?" Jay asked. Of course he wanted to know what Erin told their daughter. Jay still couldn't believe that all. She was nine months pregnant. Nine freaking months and gave birth without telling him one damn word. "She always says that you saved her life and that you're a hero . She always crys if she's alone in her bedroom and thinks noone hears her but i can hear her every time" she explained

Torrey stood up and hopped onto Jay's lap , resting her face on Jay's chest. "Mommy really missed you,she always says you'll come home one Day, she says every day that she still loves you" Torrey added. That was the last sentence she said to me before she almost died he thought "I love your mom too" Jay answered. It was already really early in the morning . He placed his hand on his daughter's back as he gently pat it ,luring Torrey back to sleep. Jay smiled he was already falling in love with this sweet little girl. Soon he was falling asleep too. They both slept there,enjoying each other's company alone for the first time.

As Jay woke up it was already 2pm and Torrey was still sleeping . He got up and was looking for something for breakfast. As he found something he went back to the living room. "Torrey wake up" he said and Torrey slowly opened her eyes. "Daddy!" She said and jumped into his arms. "Do you want to eat?" He asked her "Yes" she ran over to the kitchen and climbed on a chair.
Kate entered the kitchen too. "Good morning, do you want to drive back to see Erin?" She asked "Yeah sure " Jay answered "Bye Daddy" Torrey said and looked a bit sad. Jay left the apartment and drove back .

He arrived at the Med and went inside. "Damn Jay where have you been??" He heard Will. "It doesn't matter Will ok, can i just go to her?" Jay asked his brother. "Sure , i guess you'll find her room alone" Jay walked down the main corridor and followed the signs until he go to ICU. "Do you want to go to Erin Lindsay again?" This woman asked him. "Yes" He responded . He opened the door . He walked towards Erin and sat down . "Damn Erin why have you done this . You know i loved you and i still love you. You could have talk to me" Jay whispered and took her hand, her hand was still really cold. "I'm sorry Jay.." Erin whispered quietly and opened her eyes.
