"why are you ignoring flynn ella"
i wanted to disappear ten never leaves the question alone until he gets his answer,
"because i can" i replied starring at the movie.
He then paused the movie making me frown,
"ella"
"fine its because i made a new friend and he was mad and scared my friend away making me sad and then...he started being like mama and that upset me more" i mumble.
i hear ten sigh and then i feel him rub my back comfortingly something he did ever since we were little, only ten papa and dante know what happened between mama and me. Ten because we were stuck next to each other all the time but mama wouldn't touch him only me he tried to stop mama but she only told him off, dante because he always walked in on mama hurting me and had to get papa to help him take mama away from.
Kade kinda knows but prefers not to talk about it and freddie doesn't know at all because truth be told it only got worse after the Reid's left mama started picking on freddie as well due to his lack of not being able to read it was worse when we were little and mama used that against him and i hate grandma mamas mother she still comes and visits us but she's exactly like mama always picking on freddie and i when papa isn't looking or our other brothers aren't looking.
I hate it i dont care if she's mean to me but not freddie he gets so upset when she bullies him that he cant read it hurts him because he still cant but i know hes trying his hardest.
"Ella whats this new friends name" ten asks snapping me out of my thoughts,
"oh his name is Rodney albert" i reply looking at him.
I watch as his jaw clenched the exact same way flynns did making me confused,
"i have to go get some sleep alright we have people coming tomorrow morning so i need you to be up early" he says out of nowhere kissing my forehead and leaving my room.
I sigh and turn the tv off why is everyone upset that i made a new friend i sink under my blankets and drift of to sleep.
