TBATE - King in a Cage

Chapter 2

As i exited the portal with a wave of emotions hitting me like a truck. confusion, anger, sadness, and a little bot of joy. I don't know why I'm partially happy maybe because ill see my family soon, or some other unknown reason.

I tried to calm down and just a good grasp on my emotions but that crumbled after Sylvia's voice rang in my head. "Testing, testing. Oh Hello Art ." When I heard her voice I was hit with even more emotions, I didn't know what to do. "Art i know what you might be feeling, but its okay."  a somber Sylvia said with a soft voice. With more authority in her voice she started "I don't know what will happen to you. All i know is that you will get spikes of pain in your mana core, all you need to do is eat the pill it will change your body to the extent where you can fully handle my beast will. I wish you the best. and we will speak once more once you reach the white mana core stage."

With all this new information swirling in my head I tried to calm down. I knew right away that I would need to eat the pill which I suspected was the translucent orb I got earlier. I took it out and I ate it. I felt nothing at first then I was hit with a wave of nausea, but as fast as it came, it left just as fast.

Once I got back on my feet I started up the mana rotation technique Sylvia taught me. I then went MONKE MODE and jumped through the trees. Then i heard a scream 'Humans' was the only thing that ran through my head.

"Shut her up!"

'OH SHIT DOMESTIC ABUSE, INNER BATMAN AWAKEN'

"I'll kill you brat! I don't care if I have to sell your corpse, your dead!" After the enraged man finished talking i threw the dagger i had through his neck. I walked towards the carriage I didn't notice the man sneaking up behind me, with one movement he knocked me out.

I woke up my eyes heavy, a migraine pulsing through my head as if a jackhammer was constantly going on inside my skull. My head cleared up quickly and as I looked up I saw a girl next to me with pale skin and quick silver hair, her turquois eyes were focused on me  with curiosity constantly brimming in them. Out side of the metal cage we were residing in we were in your standard carriage with a tarp draped over it. 

First I noticed that the cage would let mana into it and let you practice mana in it, but once the cage touched the mana it would bounce off of it. The girl who was with then asked with a scared tremble in her voice "w-who are you?"

Trying to calm the girl i gave her a smile while saying "My name is Arthur, what is yours?"

"My name is Tessia." the girl now identified as Tessia asked with a voice less scared then before.

As we got to know each other I soon came to realize she was a normal girl who unfortunately got caught up in the horrible thing called slave trading. even though we were both in a shitty situation. Over the next 2 months we quickly became best friends, as I would try my best to protect her from the pale blond man who would try to do some only the lowest of the low would do. Along with getting to know Tess (they call each other by nicknames now) he noticed his body would absorb more mana then usual, almost quadrupling his speed of absorbing mana.

We finally came to a stop, nothing happened, we were waiting until they got pulled up by some unknown force. When they stopped a whole new waves of sound were heard, a bustling city. We heard these sounds for a while until they started to die down. "Hello Mr. Wykes, I Heard you got my products along with a extra slave in the mix." a authoritative voice calmly bellowed out of the man "Why of course your majesty."
