Just a Fan

Chapter 02

JAXON

It was a struggle going to the classroom for first period. The hallway was crowded and I've been bumping into people who kept on giving me compliments, telling them they're a fan of my YouTube contents.

Me and Elijah have the same first period so we headed to our classroom.

"Told you you're starting to become popular." He said as we arrived at the classroom for first period. 

As we entered the classroom, The first thing my eyes saw was Kassidy. We have the same first period?

"By the way, Kassidy and Ava were looking at us when the girl approached you. Kassidy even smiled at you when you glanced at her. Why did you ignore her?" Elijah whispered.

"It was sudden I didn't know how to react. So, I ended up ignoring her." I said.

Elijah suddenly nudged me in the arm, making me glare at him.

"You should sit behind Kassidy." He said.

"No way dude." I said. 

But he held both of my shoulders and started leading me to the two vacant seats behind Kassidy and Ava. I don't want to look like a creep by sitting behind her but Elijah was persistent and ended up pushing me at the seat behind Kassidy.

"Stop it, Elij." I angrily whispered.

He ignored me and sat behind Ava. 

Kassidy didn't seem to care that I'm seated behind her so I just laid both of my arms on my desk and leaned my head on it, since the professor isn't around yet.

"Good thing Damien doesn't have the same class as us for first period." I heard Ava said.

Damien? Damien Jenkins?

"Tell me about it." Kassidy said.

I lifted my head up and sat properly. 

Eavesdropping now, aren't we?

"Still clingy towards you even though you rejected him multiple times?" She asked.

I saw her nod at Ava's question.

The professor suddenly came in, greeted us Good Morning and started checking our attendance.

After checking the attendance, first period started and the professor started discussing.

10 minutes before the first period ends, our professor finished discussing and suddenly made an announcement.

"I'm just going to drop the bomb on you guys. I have a project for you to do." The professor started.

Everyone started whining and complaining except Kassidy. She was just quiet the whole period.

"Calm down guys. The deadline will be after your Christmas break and the project will be done in pairs. Here in my hand are the list of pairs I just made. I'll start announcing who your partners will be for this project." He said as he wave a piece of paper.

He started announcing the pairs for the project.

Sadly, Elijah already has a partner. I hope my partner isn't lazy. 

The professor suddenly mentioned my name.

"Jaxon Kingsley, you will be paired with," He started as he stared at the paper.

Come on, tell me who my partner is.

"Kassidy Lane." He said and looked at both me and Kassidy.

I was surprised. I know shock is evident all over my face. I heard Elijah snickered beside me. I ended up kicking his chair.
