Chapter 9 : Snow Man

✣ KISE'S POV ✣

It was already winter season .

Kise : So, where are we spending our winter holidays this year ?

Me and the rest of the GOM have been friends since way back and we would usually spend most of our holidays together .

Aomine : How 'bout Hokkaido ?

Akashi : Sounds good .

After everyone agreed on the destination, we set out on the date and time.

Aomine : I bet you have your own villa here. Right, Akashi ?

Akashi : Oh ? How'd you know, Aomine ? *smirks*

Aomine : Geh ! Seriously ?! I was joking when I said that. Damn.

I can never get used to how rich Akashi's family is .

When we arrive at Hokkaido, we all went to Akashi's villa and settled down our stuff .

Kise : What are you guys gonna play today-ssu ~

Aomine : Think I'm gonna go snowboarding .

Midorima : Akashi said he's going to go skiing at the top of the mountain so I'm just going to go with him .

Murasakibara : I'm going to go eat some desserts ~ 

Everyone already decided on what they want to do but I'm not really interested in those . So I decided to go ice skating.

About an hour have passed but I still couldn't skate properly .

Luckily there was no one around to see me fall down so many times . That would've been embarrassing .

After a few more failed attempts, I gave up and went back to the villa .

When I got back, the rest of the guys were already there so I asked them to teach me how to ice skate .

They said they'd teach me the next day.

As promised, we all went to the ice skating ring together.

But as time passed, I still couldn't do it and in the end, they all gave up in teaching me.

Midorima : It's impossible for you, Kise. Just give up on ice skating.

Aomine : Yeah, why do you want to play this anyway.

I was frustrated but I didn't want to give up. I told them that I'd continue trying and that they can return to their own business.

When they all went away, I kept on practicing.

♦︎ HALF AN HOUR LATER ♦︎

I was about to call it a day when I heard someone called out to me.

When I turned around, there was a little boy with sky blue hair standing behind me.

I thought he got separated from his parents and was lost but I was surprised when he said he was 13 years old . We're the same age but he's so small.

After knowing he wasn't a lost boy, I was about to take my leave.

Tetsu : You're not going to skate anymore?

Hearing his question, I realize that he's been here for quite some time.

' That means he saw me fail number of times! '

Maybe he notice how embarrassed I was because he suddenly told me he'd help me practice.

Time passed, me and Tetsu became friends and after having him teaching me how to skate, I could finally overcome it.

Kise : Finally ~ I was about to give up after failing so many time-ssu ! It's all thanks to you, Tetsu-cchi <3

Tetsu : You tried so hard, Ryouta . I'm happy for you *smiles*

I don't know why but I feel so relieved being around him even though we just met today.

I wanted to introduced him with the other guys but Tetsu refused.

Tetsu : I'm sorry, Ryouta but I can't.

Kise : Hmm, I really wanted you to meet them but I understand. You must have your reasons.

Ever since that day, we would spend time together when I'm not with the guys until our last day in Hokkaido.

Kise : Neh, Tetsu-cchi. Can I see you again ?

Tetsu : You can come see me here. I'll always be here, Ryouta.

Kise : Yeah ! And contact me whenever you come to Tokyo, okay ~!

Tetsu just smiled at me, without answering a word but I didn't think too much of it.

After saying our goodbyes, I went off to where the others were.

Aomine : Did'ya manage to skate in the end, Kise ?

Kise : Yeah ! My new friend taught me how-ssu. I wanted you guys to meet him but I guess he's shy.

Midorima : Friend ? At the ice skating ring ?

Kise : Yea~ He was a bit small but he's the same age as us-ssu.

Akashi : Weird. I thought I told them to make the area private only to us.

Kise : Eh ? But before we left, he told me he'd always be there-ssu

I was confused. If Akashi really did arrange a private space for us then how did Tetsu get in?

Murasakibara : Maybe it's Hokkaido's snowman *munches*

Aomine : The heck is that ?

Midorima : Snowman. You mean the opposite of the Yuki Onna demon ?

Akashi : Now that you mention it. I think I've heard some rumors that there was a sighting of a snow demon around the villa we stayed at. If I'm not mistaken, they said he has blue hair and eyes.

I was so shocked that I couldn't answer them.

There's no way that Tetsu is the snowman in the rumors... Right?
